Dizzy spells

My anxiety attacks start with a dizzy spell every time. Does this happen to anyone else? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi me81.

A lot of us on here start with dizzy spells but I think worrying about them actually brings on the anxiety.If you stand up too quickly it will cause your BP to drop and you will feel dizzy and your brain does the rest.

if possible try to sit down or hold onto something secure and be aware of your breathing until they pass. Hopefully they don't last too long.

yes my head gets light first,and then I get anxious.cause it scares the life out of me...feeling anxious ,I can handle,but when my head gets light and I feel off balance I really panic...God help us its a horrible way to live...xxx

Hi, This is the exact same problem I am having.. I get this headrush/bad sudden dizzy spell, and then I can feel this flush of warmth throughout my extremities. Im wondering if its adrenaline release? It causes me to panic and then I'm in quite a mess.. Just wondering if you ever got over this or figured it out?

Hi AnxiousAmy, I never did figure out what causes that feeling but it is intense for those few moments. It has lessened as my anxiety lessens so that's good. Your right in that it probably is an adrenaline release.
