Hi

I'm in a downward spiral of chronic anxiety/panic, I'm not sleeping, can't eat, sick to the pit of my stomach, diarrhoea and a nervous wreck. Has anyone been here before, I have no energy, can't even shower and feel hopeless. Has anyone ever been admitted to hospital got this kind of thing and did it help?

My partner knows but doesn't understand and is consumed looking after baby and house. I want to go e her a break and get help. I'm thinking of going to stay with my dad for a while and seeing if I can get help from the crisis team. I'm so lost and so confused right now

Hi Celt, I've had all the same symptoms in the past an I felt the same, I wanted to go to hospital, I actually went to A an E as I couldn't keep any food down, they just prescribed me diazepam which I didn't end up taking as they can be addictive, I wuld advise go an see ur GP, I eventually went onto antidepressants but don't rule these out no matter wat bad stories u hear about them, because they did really help me, hope u find the right help xx

Hi, I was not admitted to hospital but I was a regular visitor to my GP. Has something specific happened to trigger this episode? I do understand how lost and confused you might be, I only discovered this site recently and it has been a real help having others that understand - keep asking x

I was going about life happy when this hit out of nowhere although I was exhausted and had lost my sister to cancer a year before, new baby and responsibilities but I didn't feel any pressure. Those things are all hindsight now. I just need to know there's hope to get my life back, my partner has decided I should move in with my father so we both get a break so I left today :-(
