Hi Everyone, Are there any others, like me, on their own, who absolutely dread Valentine's Day and the run-up to it?

Valentine's Day
Hi Soulspinner .
I 'm on my own but no I don't mind Valentines day and all the Chocs and flowers.
I suppose I am a bit of a romantic at heart and I like to see people happy
And enjoying themselves.
Hugs to you
Hannah
Hi
I am either getting old or lost my romantic side
I don't take much notice of Valentines Day
I think if you are on your own you maybe focus on on these kind of days more because it makes your mind start thinking what you haven't got that you might wish you had but so many people are single & wont be doing anything
Try & see it as another day & if you can plan a treat for yourself or maybe go out with friends ?

Evening,
I am thinking of sending myself a few Valentine's cards just to see the shock on my sisters face Lol.
I am on my own and it has never really bothered me. it was nice when I had a partner to send cards etc.
Why not treat yourself to a nice meal or buy yourself some thing special, as you are worth it I say.
Gardener x
Oh Gardener , go on do it that sounds like a brilliant idea

Gardener that's funny. I have two godchildren, two girls, thirteen and ten.

I normally don't feel bothered by it, and never make a fuss. But this year my husband is away, so I'll probably feel it a bit xx
hi soulspinner, I think all the ladies on this sight deserve at least flowers & chocs for valentines ,I think you all do a fantastic job , looking after your loved ones, and looking after one another on this site, love to you all jasper xxx
Hi
Valentine's Day doesn't bother me either. I am a lot older now so I don't think about it, romance isn't dead though, I would like to receive a card. My daughter buy's me a small bunch of flowers sometimes, but I appreciate them anytime of the year. I tend not to celebrate, except Birthday's, on the day. i.e. Mother's Day I don't like going out just because it's Mother's Day, I like spur of the moment things.
Sending love and light to you all.
Eunice
Hey there
I understand the dread, Ive felt like this in years gone by when Ive been single........... but I don't feel like this now... It don't bother me.......... Ill prob buy myself some chocci....... and at the min Im glad to be single, in my experience my relationships have been nothing but heartache......... But im working on myself in the hope that in the future if someone comes along im better equipped to deal with a relationship............ so Ive not totally given up on the idea of love............just not right now!!
Be nice to yourself and treat yourself!! I realise now that love starts with loving yourself!!

Hi Anne I'm like that too. If we are looking after us we are better able
To be ready for any romance that may come our way.
Yes I have not given up on love yet, lol

Hi! I have very little projections. Many projects but few projections. Usually I do not project my happiness to the future. Now is the time to enjoy the future. Fantasies and mere imaginations have their sources both in the past and the future. Now is the time to enjoy the future and the Eternity.
