Hi Darryl, thanks for this post.

As long as we can keep the "extremely anxious" numbers low,

we're doing pretty good.

Stay well. Sending you my best. Agora1

Janie03 profile image

I’m just not coping with all this. Feeling very anxious. The vote is a good idea. It shows how we are all feeling right now

What's the point of doing a poll if you don't post ways you can help. I mean what are we guinea pigs or something🙄 I personally am not suffering but thete are people who are so have some compassion and do something instead of doing statistics just for fun!

I hear what you are saying. Perhaps you might consider our facilitation of this Anxiety Support community (where you are posting right now) as something helpful.

Sunnidayz1 profile image

It's not helpful & that was my point.

Sunnidayz1, I think the chart does help ! Just seeing how many other people are feeling the same way and we are not the only ones , makes me feel a little better ! I think that was part of the reason for doing it in the first place ! Nothing is ever done here without a Reason, I also don't believe it's here that we should be feeling like Guinea pigs, it's at home in the street ,the shop everywhere but here ! This is Sanctuary for me !

I also know how afraid others are and that tensions are very high , but here we can relax a little bit, Without worrying what anyone else thinks about us, We always try Not to be Rude or Aggressive here either! If you don't like a Poll don't participate, there is No need to be Rude or Confrontational, There are other sites and Forums for that kind of thing !We try to Support each other . Anyway take care , I don't know what is going on in your life apart from this damn Clovid 19 . I hope a Vaccine or a treatment is found soon Good Luck to Everyone , God Bless you all

Im entitled to my opinion thank u very much. I know how the site works and I know what a great community it is here but that is bc of it's members. The facilitors should do more than take a poll for statistics. The poll was not taken for the purposes as you see it. You are happy with the site and so you look at the site in a good light so that is why you are reviewing the poll as helpful. Realistically however the poll has no function it was just intended as a poll. Period. I really don't care, it's just something annoying that I noticed. In my opinion if you are going to post a poll go a step further & post something that can actually help people...

So I will do it. If you are experiencing anxiety/depression during this difficult time there are a few things you can do to minimize symptoms. Try meditating, exercising, talking to a good friend, being in nature, or yoga. You'll be happy you did. Stay safe my friends✌

Of course you are entitled to your opinion! No one has told you otherwise to my knowledge. I think " Lovemybear" has said the same as I wish to say. "Its not What You say, But How You say it "

I don't think being Confrontational to the Admin " Darryl" who Volunteers to help Run this particular forum is fair,He puts a lot of time into this place. That's all I have to say apart from ,Thank you Darryl I am sure I am not the only one who appreciates your input and time you put in to help. Derek

Whatever 🙄😂

in reply to Sunnidayz1

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion. There is an old saying “It’s not what you say but how you say it.” I for one took no offense whatsoever to the poll and do not feel like a guinea pig in the least. Just my thoughts.

I am feeling extremely anxious because at this point, I have to find another place to stay by May 29th because my cousin's husband is kicking me out which means that I will be homeless and if I can't find another place to stay, I will have no choice but to stay in a homeless shelter.

Blimey I hope things work out for you. This situation is widening the divide between the wealthy and the vunerable.

I realise that you have probably already spoken to your local council re this? I also voted extremely anxious. For different reasons. I am struggling. I can understand why you feel extremely anxious. At this time I am finding it impossible to focus on anything, so I am sorry for not giving any practical advice. I feel your pain and I'm sorry xx

i believe for the most of us , this pandemic brings up the feelings that worsen out anxiety and depression , the loss of control over things, the difficulty reaching for help because of quarantine , the hopelessness because there isnt much to do for us and those around us , and it amplifies the fears and concerns we have , also many of us have health anxiety and it can make us panic Isolation is definitely terrible for people who already suffer from depression , and for us sufferers having too much time , it triggers overthinking , especially when we cant escape the news and the rest of the day we are free to think

Im so sorry if i triggered anyone , if anyone needs help, im like you im struggling but i can definitely provide a fresh perspective and calm those who feel anxious or help those who feel depressed, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel

I agree! The loss of control and the panicky feeling of not being able to visit others! I catch myself breathing faster than normal and I know it’s just anxiety!

Kevin160 profile image
Kevin160 in reply to Barbasol

Yes as humans we dont function well alone , and to add the stress of the news, the health anxiety , concerns over ourselves and loved ones , it will without a doubt take a toll on our mental health ..but this is a great support system and i think this forum has helped many suffering with the same problems

I’m in a really bad way with anxiety , I’m having 5 + panic attacks a day and constant fear all day , I’m isolating with my daughter just us two and I’m struggling hiding it from her , she seen me in a bad way today for the first time

Kevin160 in reply to Kn515

I know its very hard, but you will get through this, you are much stronger than you think, especially since you have a daughter, you are isolating so taking your precautions is key , its normal to feel the way you do so dont feel ashamed of it , if you ever want to vent my chat box is always open , there are alot of ways to help relieve And lower all this anxiety

Explain to her why she might think you are a bit odd, this virus is worrying you, I am sure that she will understand and probably feel Proud of you and more Adult for you confiding in her,

Kevin160 profile image
Kevin160 in reply to Delzek

Its normal for this whole situation to worry us , it would be off if it didnt , but the problem its amplified with us sufferers of anxiety and depression because it stimulates all the triggers that makes our condition works, sitting alone all day really makes me overthink my overthinking and lead me to develop scary thoughts, bad panic attacks , sometimes theyre managable but sometimes its hard to cope

Trying to remind myself I'm safe, loved & to be okay with the anxiety... that what's going on in the world right now, it's expected. We're going to get through this.

I have developed a cough and temperature over the last 2 days. Unlike the Prime Minister, I am not important enough to be tested for covid-19.

I am so anxious the wind scared me.

Voted moderate, as I have good days then bad ones. Like a lot of us I suppose!

Lou1054 profile image

I find it easier to cope by not fixating on the news all day, whilst being mindful of the many people far worse off than me, we are only being asked to stay home.

I am doing okay.

I'm now taking for anxiety, clonazepam, diazepam & most recently 150mg sertraline (Zoloft) The sertraline doc said was to lower my anxiety which he says is the reason for my erratic blood pressure, he's wrong.

Your support questions are a little confusing. I have both depression and anxiety. If this truly a forum why was the last entry seven months ago. Are you not active?

Hi, struggled with GAD for the last 4 years but feeling less anxious this past year. Guess COVID pandemic has taught me lessons. We will always have struggles but life is precious, we must take it a day at a time.
