The root cause of this is our way of life; we raise children that show no concern because they don't feel the pain of lack of love, care or concern. This society is so superficial and artificial that one has to just accept this as a biproduct of our way of life. The real issue is how can we best prepare our seniors for this disease so they can at least psychologically adjust and not live in lingering in loneliness and anticipation for some affection from those it helped and provided every bit of the best they could give.

Senior Anxiety and Depression
Welcome goatin to a long avoided topic regarding our young people of today and
it's effect on the senior community.
Society has made it pretty much impossible to not have both parents working,
if there even are 2 parents. We were raised by parents who didn't have a manual
but used there own growing up experiences as a backup. Good or Bad, we had
consequences for our actions and disrespect of elders. As we grew more mature,
some of those techniques caused us a backlash of symptoms and so here we are today.
However, the young impressionable children of today are given the world on a platter
for the most part. Electronics have taken over the minds of each child at an early age.
No longer do they interact with reality. Many parents want their children to have what
they didn't growing up, but is that wise? Are we raising a generation of uncaring kids
who don't respect working to get what they want.
Who disrespect anyone in authority from teachers to police to each other.
How can the seniors not feel threatened by this new world?
I don't expect many to join in on this post for fear of retaliation but I thank
you in getting your feelings out of your concerns and suffering. After all, this
is what this community is about. Sharing and Caring xx
