my family and I had reservations at the beach as per our usual spring break tradition. My father has become ill and he can’t travel so we canceled the trip. He is OK but just can’t travel far from home. I then made reservations to go by myself. I am now debating if that’s what I really want to do, I’m single and have no children and spend a lot of time alone. A solo week at the beach might sound glorious for some but I’m afraid I’m going to be very lonely missing the activities we used to do as a family. should I go and just try to enjoy the beach by myself or should I stay home where the weather is actually probably going to be even nicer ? What would you do?

Hi Dutch girl I'd say about maybe about 20 years ago I went to Washington State by myself on my first trip ever by myself it was only for 24 hours but I went by myself rented a car and I was so okay I'm single too I don't have children and I'm older and always when you travel act like someone's traveling with you but it was okay though going by myself but mean I feel pretty safe up there just act like you're not alone but yeah it was a new adventure and I got to see some stuff that I've never seen before but it was a pretty quick trip but if you feel better staying home then you should if you feel more comfortable that way. But if you feel comfortable being closer to home than you can do that also and take maybe like a mini trip around town and act like a tourists around town go to the touristy areas and stuff and that might you know feel like a little vacation for you I hope whatever you do you have fun and have a relaxing time
Hello! Thank you for your response. I’m trying to push myself to go because I am too comfortable at home and don’t go out much. I miss out on a lot in life because I don’t want to go alone…I’m glad you enjoyed your trip!
