Wanna knw abt what is shown in MOM series regarding AA meetings, are meetings really that good in real life?

Hi. I’m an alcoholic who goes to AA. My daughter was too. Although I only saw one episode of Mom, my daughter loved it. She said it was pretty spot on.

We laugh a lot in AA. Even though alcoholism is a fatal disease, AA members are not a glum lot. We’ve been saved from having to drink. We don’t regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.

We can find humor in our dark pasts and share in the insanity of it all. We also can cry at the sadness, too.
