Sending positive thoughts for a restful night

If you’re anything like me, the nighttime can be a particularly difficult time to keep anxious thoughts away and cope with feelings of panic. I am sending all of the positive thoughts and well-wishes to you in hopes that you get the restful nights sleep you need tonight.

This is what I’m going to try and keep in mind tonight when I’m trying to fall asleep:

- Symptoms of panic make me afraid but they can’t hurt me.

- I am safe and I can get through these difficult moments

- The panic attack always ends. My job is to make myself as comfortable as possible until it passes.

If you have any strategies that help you get through the night restfully please feel free to share.

(As well as any tips for starting off your morning on the right foot instead of immediately looking for feelings of anxiety.)

Know that you are not alone. You are not going crazy. We will get through this.

Hi Kelsey22, it's me again lol

Positive thoughts, Affirmations, Visualization, Imagery, Mindfulness

and Self Hypnosis are all methods to help produce positivity in your

sub conscious mind.

I end the day in listening to a 20 min tape of all of the above. Within 30 days

your subconscious mind will start to think differently. *a form of retraining the mind.

Not a night goes by that I don't listen to Meditation while in bed. I no longer get to the

end of the tape. I'm sound asleep within minutes and that's a good REM sleep.

Upon awakening in the morning, I pop the tape in once more and just do my breathing

exercises while I relax and calm my mind as to what is ahead for the day.

Anytime a thought appears that may be negative, I push it aside and continue with listening.

This ritual before bed and first thing in the morning start me off on the right foot.

Usually mid day, I do a quick Meditation 3-5 minutes to relax my shoulders, clear my mind

and just breathe. I never would have believed that such an easy practice could allow me

to achieve my goals. This was the "key" to my success. Anxiety no longer has a hold on me :) xx

I struggle at night. I take anxiety meds. Since I can't sit in quiet with my thoughts I have the tv on low. I try to do some self care too: put lotion on my feet, drink extra sleepy time tea. I found I have to allow myself to fall asleep. The tv also keeps my dogs from barking at night. I know my methods aren't the preferred way to do things but that is what works for me. maybe you can find different ideas that are tailored to you.
