Lexapro Increase

I have had anxiety and depression for many years. I have been taking Lexapro for this. Over the last couple of weeks I have had a set back and the anxiety has reared back up. When I contacted my doctor she decided to up my Lexapro and I am on day seven of that. I was wondering when you up your meds if it takes time again to get it regulated in your body again. I am having the sweats and still have anxiety. I am also getting a pain once in awhile in my chest but it comes and goes. I am trying to do some deep breathing. I just need some comfort and some good days. I am not wanting to leave my house again and this is so not me. Any guidance or advice. Thank you!

Hi Amos1993, anytime the dosage is increased, there will be a short lapse in it

reaching full efficacy. With Lexapro, when mine was increased, I noticed a few

blips here and there over a week's time. Give it a chance to kick in. It may make

all the difference in the world. Good Luck dear :) xx

Good morning, yes my doctor recently increased my Lexapro from 10 mg to 20 mg. It's been a constant wave of up and down but now for the past few days seem to have been better. I'm not sure for medication starting to balance out but that is what I'm hoping and praying for. And after reading and doing research that I have done notes that it does take time for your body to adjust. Especially if you're on other medication which I am too. I also have the sweats and the feeling of overheating. My body gets warm and tingly on the upper part of my back and then goes all the way down my back. To me that's even more frustrating, I go outside and I try to cool off I wear less clothing in the house and I keep fans on. I just keep telling myself that once again this is part of the recovery and it will adjust and some side once the medication balances out. Stay strong be thankful for the small steps and realize that you're not alone. I want you to support you and share our experiences. 🙏💪❤️
