I feel like I'm prone to choosing negativity over positivity and I'm tired of it, like why do I do it and is it possible to stop it? Hopelessness is a terrible feeling, sending my best to anyone feel like things will never change. I'm with ya and I choose to keep trying even if I die a failure but hopefully I will succeed and love will come.

My biggest catalyst has been my life’s experiences. I still have plenty of negative feelings on a daily basis. Surrounding myself with more positive people and relating to them in positive experiences has been helpful. Walking my dog is huge too. Aches and pains limit how often I go but when I do, we both feel better and it is much easier to react with joy when you are content.
It is much easier to laugh at a silly joke if you like the person telling it. If you have negative feelings before the joke, that will affect how it is received. That is why not everyone is qualified to help pick us up when we are down.
What I am saying is that positivity inspires more positivity and by contributing to it you will see results in time.
On a positive note, I like your selection of images for your profile picture. Similar yet unique. Is it a picture you have taken yourself ? Mine is a shot from my backyard on the longest day of the year.
i feel ya 😖 but i try to see the positive in anything . its hard to see everything like a cloud that has a silver lining . but trust me you will remember the moments that make you happy . The moments that have meaning to you or are comforting . the times where you laughed so hard you fell on the floor . the times where someone made you happy or complimented you on something . these are the moments that you need to keep and remember when your seeing things negatively . after all there is sunshine after the rain ❤️☺️🙏
I have a few of those moments. Thank you for your wholesome message!
Have you ever thought about when exactly and why you started feeling like prone to choosing negativity? There could be a reason for all of that. There could have happened something that affected your way of thinking and feeling.
Something I need to reflect on. I think 7 years ago it really started. Lot of suppressed emotion that I am currently working hard to change. Like I just gave up drinking alcohol in order to look at it. Lol not saying people shouldn't enjoy it.
You can be prone to being negative. There is lots of good advice here on how to overcome it, but what you need to be aware of is that it's a bad habit! You have formed a habit of seeing everything with a cloud over it. I think it mostly shows up as complaining about everything and everyone. Once you become aware of your attitudes, you can stop yourself voicing the negatives. You don't have be all Polly Anna about life; none of us feels good all the time, but just begin to notice how you are. You can - if you feel ready - reframe your feelings, by saying, or imagining yourself saying that you are seeing, feeling or thinking the opposite. Instead of "People here are so annoying", say "I am enjoying being among people again". That's just a suggestion - I am not making assumptions about your inner dialogue. But yes, there is a solution to the problem. Make a start by just noticing what you are saying to yourself. Then gradually stop and gradually change. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day but breaking a bad habit usually takes - on average - 21 days.😊
This is really deep and true. Thank you for sharing truthful dialogue with me. I definitely tend to blame my parents and friends and teachers to much. It's on me and will take time like 21 days thank you dear.
Hi @Ah-Cho199 how are you doing? I know it can be hard some days to see the positive but I want to encourage you to trust that better days are coming and you won't always feel like this. Your last sentence is so good and one that you should keep foremost in your mind everyday. I believe you do have all it takes within you to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
So dear friend don't give up, keep trying your best and one day YOU will succeed and love will come. I'm rooting for you
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Sending you love as well. I appreciate your encouragement!
