Question: Where did Callmedanielle’s post go?

It was a great post and lots of good points to unpack. I’m not so sure if it’s error on my end?

About church and state? I was surprised it lasted 30 minutes. You can’t talk about politics on this forum. ….I have been trying to figure out to say I feel for the women struggling today without it being taken down. Today is dystopian.

in reply to Blueruth

I see it was taken down. My interpretation is about women rights and it was a very frustrating thing to see how it is not validated after all the good work people put in. What I am afraid next is same sex marriage rights will be taken away or even interracial marriages will be denied. What has this world come to?

Blueruth profile image
Blueruth in reply to

Yep…that has been a lot of what I have been thinking about too. I know a lot of lgbtq who were traumatized in 2016. I’m still of the mind we could fight this via voting but even that feels like a fading right…it could all be gone by 2025. If this isn’t a mental health issue what is?

in reply to Blueruth

I agree with you this is a major health issue. We learned to overcome religion, mental condition, gender, racial bias/profiling and this event raises fear within people who are concerned about human rights. This is not Stone Age anymore when our rights to do with our bodies is denied. I have friends of all backgrounds and we will vote to do our parts the best we could. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. 😊xx

I know exactly what you are referring too and I am as horrified as most of us women. I feel very sorry for women in those states who have banned it. I just hope the UK doesn't follow suit.

The world is going so far right it is very wrong....

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943 in reply to hypercat54

You can't blame the Supreme Court for this one. The Greys usually stay out of our affairs but when something clashes with their plan for our evolution they step in. That's what happened here. Blame Eisenhower and that first meeting 70 years ago if you want but you can't fight them. And they have plenty more in the pipeline you're not going to like.

in reply to hypercat54

It truly goes backward as it is part of international human rights. I sure hope this will change as there are many people in state like New York protest for our rights and we can push through with our upcoming votes.

The'll be taking away your right to carry machine guns next.

No, machine guns will always be OK. Personal nukes may be limited, however.

Blueruth profile image
Blueruth in reply to Jeff1943

I can blame them. That branch is destroyed.

in reply to Jeff1943

That would be like taking wine away from Italian. If people think carrying guns to make them safe then America would be considered one of the safest countries in the world. Gun safety control law is what needed.

Blueruth profile image
Blueruth in reply to Jeff1943

“The'll be taking away your right to carry machine guns next.”I thought you were being ironic but obviously you don’t know. That says a lot about your other comments too. I blame the education system.

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943 in reply to Blueruth

What don't I obviously know. Machine guns was irony, it was about gun control in the u.s. which isn't going to come any time soon.

Blueruth profile image
Blueruth in reply to Jeff1943

No it won’t…but incremental change has a chance. rights were expanded on Thursday.

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943 in reply to Blueruth

I know what you mean, the gun lobby were given further rights. It's none of my business not being American but I get sad reading about all those shootings at schools, that's all.

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943 in reply to Blueruth

So anybody who doesn't agree with you, blame it on their lack of education. That comes under point 2 on my previously posted list.

Blueruth profile image
Blueruth in reply to Jeff1943

No. Your replies are either based on incorrect information or it doesn’t look like you read the article or the news.

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943 in reply to Blueruth

The article was pro-abortion, I didn't read on because it triggers my depression.

Blueruth profile image
Blueruth in reply to Jeff1943

I see. So your other comments are rooted in memes not an actual understanding of what the 14th amendment granted which is what makes roe and birth control and same sex marriage and even bad education possible. The UK. Actually granted these rights long before the US btw. You don’t even need an explicit amendment. It is about the freedom to raise your family as you see fit which is what slavery took away by definition. This is why people say this is about power not life however you define it.

Abortion was mentioned in the first paragraph. Literally the entire article is focusing on children. You are cherry picking.

So your reply to the child is: "Sorry, you used the wrong tense. Future tense instead of past tense." Fair enough, it's a point of view.

Women must have rights. When does a child gain rights? At conception? At birth? Or some other time? Thank you.

Blueruth profile image
Blueruth in reply to Jeff1943

The article is about the children and how forced birth affects the children. Is this response to the article?

in reply to Jeff1943

Jeff1943, your comment is incohesive with my reply. Did you read the article?

It provides national statistics datas showing quality of life for both mothers and children when forced birth: “When women are denied an abortion, their children fare worse than peers.”

Not the aborted child though who fares better.

It got reported, this is the first time someone reported a post of mine i don’t even know what to say

I just noticed I spelled your name wrong, my apology. I’ll correct it. I had no idea how it just disappeared when I was about to reply to support your post. It’s very insightful and significant for us to acknowledge. Thank you for posting even for just a split second.

I didn’t noticed it got taken down either until hours later, and thank you for posting this and I’m glad that you got the conversation started and other members agreed with us

I just signed up for this site so I was not clear how it happened either. It was really a sad day for me to see this happened right in our country. So much set back but I trust in people who will voice their concern and we will vote as this is not over yet. It’s about pro choice as our human rights. 👍

in reply to

Welcome to the site❤️ It was a sad day in history and you’re right this is not over yet and I’m watching the protesters and so many organizations supporting this fight for our rights, seems like we’re going backwards and if I’m being honest it’s scaring me a little

I believe life begins at conception and that includes the right to life.

How would you deal with me?

1. Send me to prison until I change my mind?

2. Send me to a re-education camp?

3. Serve me with a gagging order?

4. Socially ostracise me?

5. Respect my right to disagree with you?

6. Any combination of points 1 to 5?

in reply to hypercat54

What other rights will they be taking next, they basically see us as walking incubators. A lot of lives will be lost with that decision

Blueruth profile image
Blueruth in reply to

If Thomas has his way birth control and same sex marriage. Birth control…this really has nothing to do with unborn life.

Isinatra profile image
Isinatra in reply to Blueruth

Exactly. The ruling is much more than just about abortion or even womens rights. It’s not that hard to see it with just a little forethought. Over 65% of the population in the United States has that forethought. The ruling gave 50 states to have the ability to have 50 different laws regarding a myriad of human rights issues. Try to get 50 states safely on the same page. Chaos…..My answer to that probably might start a war within a war, so out of respect to the post, I won’t go there.

If you want to understand the answer to your question Ezra Klein released a podcast last night I’m listening to right now. They are always dense and over an hour but the first 20 explains clearly (I think) how far reaching this goes. You can see my comment above for a hint. This is truly just the beginning. Couple it with the NY decision the day before and it is insidious.

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943 in reply to hypercat54

Chauvenistic? So it's all the fault of men. Plenty of women who are against aborting unborn children, look at the news photos of protestors. Why do you feel the need to turn this into a male v. female thing?

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943 in reply to

Midori profile image
Midori in reply to

Don't sweat about it, Callmedanielle.

It's just one of the subjects we are encouraged not to talk about as this is a health community, rather than a Political or religious one, and we would prefer if it would remain that way.

I can see, however that the Abortion issue is a medical one and could pass over into Health concerns. I'm not a Mod or Admin though, so I have no say.

It could get divisive though and it's a bit of a tightrope.

Cheers, Midori

Truly nothing short of what feels like a bad moment from a dystopian novel or something straight out of The Handmaid's Tale. While I'm not female, I understand to the extent I can and stand with the women of the US (or of any country with oppressive maneuvers placed upon female folk) who were wronged. Not the laws I want my own daughter growing up in and around becoming the norm.

Dolphin14 profile image

I take that as the gagging option: only people who support abortion should speak here and I don't.

Jeff1943 profile image

That's censorship ie "only people who support my views can speak". Not nice, snowdayze. I'm as entitled to put my dissenting view across as you are yours.

Jeff1943 profile image

What about the rights of unborn children? What about their mental health when aborted? They can feel, move and hear.

Experiment1982739903 profile image
Experiment1982739903 in reply to Jeff1943

They are unborn and still in the developing state of becoming human. You have no right to tell someone that they cannot have control over something growing inside of their own body. If you dont like abortion than dont get one.

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943 in reply to Experiment1982739903

I believe babies are human from conception and have rights even though they are growing in someone's body. I have every right to express that opinion as we're not living in North Korea.

Experiment1982739903 profile image
Experiment1982739903 in reply to Jeff1943

So you have a right to punish someone for controlling what goes on inside their own body? Sounds like North Korea to me

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943 in reply to Experiment1982739903

You miss the point, there's another body within your body that has to be considered. In my opinion but not yours.

Jeff1943 profile image

Your comments are upsetting me. A dissenting view is not disruption it's called democracy. It involves interfering (trying to change) other people's beliefs. Not just sitting around agreeing with one another.

🐬

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943

When I was your age people of opposing views could debate their differences without rudeness or rancour.

Sometimes this resulted in someone changing their mind. Or agreeing a compromise or better still a synthesis.

But these days if someone disagrees with you, all you have to say is: "What you say is triggering my anxiety disorder" and you've effectively gagged the dissident.

There is much evidence of that here.

Blueruth profile image
Blueruth in reply to Jeff1943

What a horrible thing to say.

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943

So if people dissent from what you believe in you ostracize them? That is totalitarianism and not acceptable to western values.

Dolphin14 profile image
Dolphin14

Probably a good idea. It's getting a bit stale.

🐬

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943

It's all irrelevant anyway. Once the Greys decide on something there's no court of appeal. You'll understand shortly, Disclosure is imminent. Even NASA has stopped retouching things out, they even release photos showing long abandoned buildings on Mars and that mile high antenna dish. . .

Jeff1943 profile image
Jeff1943

Another example of you wanting to silence people who disagree with you. Some people are against abortion, some people are for it. That's life.
