Panic in the mornings and waking

It seems like every night I go to sleep my body wakes me up like 4 hours later and usually wake up with bad anxiety which Will sometimes send me into a panic attack. I try to fall back to sleep but will only be able to sleep for like an hour it’s odd. I guess it could be from doing nothing all day and just laying around

You're also going through a med change, and your body is adjusting to that.

This is the kinda stuff that you need to let your doc/psych know so he/she can help you out with that.

Sadly though this started before starting the medicine

Was it happening when you were tapering off of your old medicine? (or was it even before that?)

Who gives you your meds, your MD or a psych? (you'll see where I'm going with this later)

Alright.. This is what I would do if I was you.

Get yourself leveled on the Paxil, which will take a while.

After you hit your max dosage from your doc, if the sleep is still a thing, then bring it up to your doc and see what he/she might have to say. Your doc may have some natural recommendations for you, but the Paxil is your priority here.

.

A previous mentor of mine gave me similar advice many years ago when I was on the "med merry go round", and I'm just passing it along. :)

Thank you I’m just in such a dark place

And you should be.

Let's see.

You're going through a change ATM, and people with anxiety are usually not huge fans of changes.

More specifically.. You're going through a med change, and you need to get used to what those changes are.

Believe it or not, what you are going through is "normal", for what's going on. I've been there.

& I'm still here.

If it's general anxiety, I'll leave that to the experts....

But for the kind of anxiety where I wake up and obsess on specific things that bother me, I find listening to podcasts on my favorite nerdy topics very helpful. They distract me from overthinking. If I wake up and the last one is over, I'll just put it on again or select another one. They put me right to sleep, and I learn things in the process.
