Relief in the really bad days

I am really feeling the high anxiety right now. I really suffer with it when it grips me like this. I am doing all the right things. Telling myself it won’t hurt me and float through it, but it seems to want to torture me today. Does anyone have any advice? I take .5mg Klonopin cut in quarters 4 times a day. Plus Prozac 10 mg . I have gotten better with these doses and have been off them at one point for 10 months. Had a relapse last August and started them up again. It been a roller coaster ride ever since. Can anyone relate and want to chat?

Unfortunately, I cannot offer advice. I've had excruciating days with resistant anxiety. The one thing I can tell you is that it will pass. It won't always be like this. I find those days enraging, having done all the right thing and it does not work. Sometime my rage gives me a little space where I know I exist outside the anxiety. I don't know if this helps. I wish your anxiety dials down soon. Peace.

Thanks Eklektik. I know you are right. It will pass. It just seems like I don’t have many of the calm, serene days as often anymore. I need the support of friends like you who understand. Thank you for answering. Peace also to you💕🌷

The fluctuations and setbacks are disheartening, for sure. Just wish there was an off switch on this damned thing! Hope your recover promptly.

Just an off switch! I don’t know who turns it on, but the on switch needs to be permanently hidden! I answered your message. Thank you for your time and chat. Means a lot to me.💕

I can so relate ! I am presently dealing with high anxiety that doesn't always respond to the Ativan I take. I usually only use it prn but the past few days have taken it a few times a day. There are days I don't need any at all. I'm pretty sure it's the result of an MRI I just had that revealed a couple things that could be potentially serious. I'm being monitored for those and have an appointment with another doctor next week but am really worried and the anxiety is overwhelming!! I know many will agree it's got to be one of the most awful feelings. Deep breathing exercises and meditation don't help right now. Supposed to get my hair cut later and I hope I can make it.

I am so sorry that you have to feel this way. I know how it is. It can be a living hell. I just had a night where I could not calm myself down enough to sleep. I will pray that all will be well with you and your tests. You are welcome to message me anytime. We can support each other.

I have been on a low dose of Klonopin that has not been enough for keeping this intense anxiety at bay. I am afraid to take to much extra.

I send you healing peace and hope to talk with you again. 💕🌼

I know how you feel. If you have no heart conditions, a daily cold shower or bath does wonders. The calm and relaxation that follow are amazing. I know it sounds harsh, but I do it twice daily. If you have a way to check the water temperature 60-70 degrees is a good temperature. I am doing 55 degrees but I have taken 2 months to go from 70 to 55. You can look it up online cold shower therapy.

I’m glad it’s working for you! I don’t think it would be for me. Thanks for the suggestion.😊

I can relate 100%!! I had a really bad panic attack last week and it was rough. Sometimes it's just crippling and hard to pull out of. I do think this forum has been a huge help especially in not feeling alone. I went to see a therapist for the first time last friday and I do have to say that really helped me. She told me that find a couple things that relax you and no matter what make sure you take the time out of your day to do them. For me it is bubble baths, so I am ensuring I get enough of those in to keep me relaxed. If you need anyone I am a message away!

You have the right idea! Love to soak in a warm bath maybe with a scented candle. Thank you. And you can always message me as well. Support for each other is how we heal.
