Meniere's disease

Hi Everyone,

My doctor diagnosed me with meniere's disease. I'm sad and very disappointed this is happening to me. I just recovered from cancer, I deal with fibromyalgia now this. Does anyone know how to deal with meniere's ? My world keeps swaying in my head making my life difficult.

I dont understand why me! Its one thing after another.

Yes! Cut ALL salt out of your diet! Literally, all. No cheese, no canned vegetables. To the extent humanly possible - fresh meat and veggies, unsalted butter, cut out processed food (pasta, bread), and opt for making your own or salt free versions. It’s possible to feel “normal” again, but the diet is mandatory.

Meniere's can be rotten. Has you doctor not given you any information about it? Have a look in the Groups page to find out if there is also a meniere's group you could join, as they would have a great deal more information.

Hello, my Doctor said take medicine and reduce sodium. Left the room. Im trying to learn to work around it spoke to nutritionist and learning how.

I've just had a look and there is a Tinnitus Forum here which seems to deal with Meniere's as well. If you go to the top of the page there is a search bar at the to right where you can find the Forum.
