First day of school

Today was my first day in school, online of course lol I’m not a kid anymore and yet mom was taking pictures and even stayed home in case my anxiety got the best of me. I adore her even though she treated me like a child with all the pics today, but I had a good day and I’m really proud of myself right now.

Lol... you both are too cute.💗 Congratulations on your first day of school. Hope you do well & enjoy it. 🫂

Lol I felt like a kid going to first grade with all the pictures she was taking 😂😂

For now I prefer it since I’m agoraphobic I’m not prepared to be on campus but it would be awesome being in a classroom again it has been a while since then

I would also be too worried about the virus to be with so many people in a closed space

I think she just really cares for you. I don't think she intends to treat you as a child but in her eyes you will always be her little kid, if that makes sense. She would probably do the same if you were 50 haha. Congratulations for having a good day and you should be proud. I hope you are liking school. What are you studying if you don't mind me asking?

Biochemistry for now I’m still not fully set on one major. Haha knowing mom you’re right lol I will probably still get my pictures taken by her at that age

Oh nice! Biochem seems like it would be really fun but also really hard haha. I take it from that choice you are more on the science/healthcare side of things when it comes to your studies?

Haha you probably will. But it will be something to look forward to at least.

Really hard lol I have to try and keep my sanity so I don’t get drown in homework. My dream was to become a doctor I’m not too sure about that anymore but until I can decide what I want to do in the future might as well start with that

I get that, when I was going to university I got two bachelors at the same time so I was swamped with homework as well haha. For some being a doctor is great for others it's a lot of work. There are many ways you could still help people in the medical field without being a doctor. You could look into pharmacology, you could go into radiology and imaging. You could do the physical side of things and to physical therapy, and on the biochem side you could study dug interactions or work in something like biomedical engineering to help create prosthetic for others. There are so many routes to take. But I encourage you to explore what you like, and just know that even if none of that sounds appealing you can always change your plans and that is okay as well. It's better to follow your heart than to do something that you hate forever.

So far my day isn't to bad, thank you for that. I hope you are having a great Sunday as well.

I think it's good your mom is getting involved in your education some people don't. Have that luxury my mom wasn't educationally minded having been brought up in Ireland working in weaving Mills I wish she had been strict with up in out education I wish she was still here but sadly she is not enjoy each day you have for you will thank her in the future I wish you well and I hope you e cell in what ever you want to do God bless you and your family 😇

Hey that’s really exiting! I hope you found ways to settle in. That’s really sweet how ecstatic your mom felt about your first day 👍

in reply to Kainan

🤦🏻‍♀️ Ugh Kainan I sent you a pm we really need to talk about these classes hopefully you can give me some advice

My major was biology but now I’m leaning towards biochemistry, I’m having a hard time deciding about what I want to do for the future how to actually pick the right major, my counselor said I have time but that doesn’t halo my anxiety. I would really appreciate it if you could give me some advice about that please

First off I want to say you sound like the coolest teacher ever, there’s nothing I love more than someone who loves what they’re doing, you can tell when a teacher is passionate about a subject and it makes the whole learning experience something to look forward to. That high school counselor should’ve gotten fired, thank the angels you didn’t listen to that lie, cause look at you now!!!! my psychology class lasted 4 hours and maybe the teacher was having a bad day but that was 4 hours seems like an eternity and I couldn’t wait for it to end. I will definitely sent a few emails to a few teachers I never thought about that, they can help me decide and put my mind at ease, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your reply, lol and definitely expect a lot of pm from me it’s only been week one
