I don’t know if anyone’s gonna reply but anyways. I feel kinda sad. I don’t feel like doing anything. Feeling a lot lonely. I’ve friends but still sometimes I feel very alone. My exams r approaching and I’m not able to concentrate on my studies. I feel very distracted sometimes. Thinking about the future makes me feel very anxious.

You only joined today and since you mentioned exams, I hazard a guess that you are still young. I'm in the autumn of my life and I feel the same with the exception that I have noone to talk to. You will get through this because I promise you, tomorrow things will look differently. In this community you are never alone. Keep reaching out!

Oh my god thank you for the support. Getting such nice response on the first day felt so nice and made me realise the need of reaching out and talking about one’s feelings. Thank you again

Please do share with the community. We all go through a lot of stuff but we are here to support each other. ☺️

Yes it is very normal you're feeling this way.Have you talked to your GP about it ? It can be very helpful.

Keep studying every day (use the podomoro techniques for exemple).

Everything thing is going to be fine.

When you finish taking your exams, apply online to be a volunteer somewhere you'll see it is going to help you a lot to make new friends and learn some new skills for your CV.

Keep us updated 😉

You are not alone. As you said, you just need to go and ask for help.

Go and get some friends.

A lot of people don't dare either and are waiting to be asked!

Have you tried the podomoro techniques before ?

Let me know what you think about it ?

Keep us updated 😉

This really resonates with me, especially today. So often anxious people get caught up in a cycle of worrying about what-if's or when their next attack is going to happen. Unfortunately, that can be a self-fulfilling prophecy!

I am pretty isolated in life but I'd encourage you to keep using the forums here, there are a lot of really friendly people who have great advice, are positive, and can relate.

I can imagine people suggesting getting out of your comfort zone and doing something social away from studies, although that seems more difficult than ever.

I find it helpful to have a few simple distractions I have control over- for example a couple of hours ago I was trying to get out of my head about the next big panic attack and ended up listening to the sounds of a campfire on YouTube while doodling.

Perhaps there's something enjoyable you could engage in with others?

Yes well said. I like sketching n working out but my phone has become my biggest distraction these days. I even deactivated my ig acc cos I was wasting a lot of my time on it. Since then it is easier to focus on my studies,

I’m brand new too! I’m on the older side a bit but yes we can all relate. Wow! A lot of beautiful and profound words here from so many. If you can, wrap that around you. I’m gonna try! Sending warm thoughts!

It sounds to me you’re a pretty normal human. You’re in school during a global pandemic, so you have normal stress hugely compounded by the stress going on in the world, and yet here you are — listening to your good instincts to reach out, working to remain balanced, and using strategies to reduce distractions. These are things all to be proud of! So pat yourself on the back for the good and grant yourself a bit of grace in a tough time. You got this!

This really means a lot thank you for the advice

A simple solution from Indian to Indian. There's a lot you can discover. Develop some hobbies and induldge yourself in them.

I don’t really have time for hobbies. My whole day is spent in attending online lectures or studying or completing assignments. Can’t find time for anything else. Feels like I’m living the same day everyday

in reply to neha2607

I've been through the same. I've completed my assignments like a week ago. I'm in college too. This assignment period gives a hard time on students. I also received ton of assignments. We have no option other than to complete it. I used to find myself exhausted at the end of the day. I used to relax by listening music while roaming in open sky. You also must be having some way to relax.

There is a lot of pressure to do well so your mind and body are probably feeling the stress . Just do what you can.

Hobbies are definitely good even if your not actively engaged its a release and can open other doorways to release the pressure.

Yes I’ll try to find time for doing something that makes me feel relaxed like painting or sketching or something

Be careful because being stoic is not always a good thing. I'm very tired but I can still help . Do some things that you enjoy. Do something different.

It's difficult to deal with loneliness sometimes especially with health problems . It's a challenge to deal with anxiety and depression too . Just do the best you can.

Things will improve gradually. Be patient.

Take one day at a time and give yourself some breaks in between. Have you considered getting a pet or taking a class like something that has some flexibility or something that would be at your own pace? Or looking into a hobby that you can work on alternately and pick up or leave as needed.? Be very patient gentle and kind to yourself. Take care.

I hope the days are looking a little brighter. It sounds like you have a very full schedule. There seem to be times when we need to just let go of some of the stress and find time for ourselves, time to nurture our own mental health. When are exams done? I hope that after you get through them you are able to block out some time in your schedule to relax and find some peace...... Blessings to you...
