I'm new here and not quite sure how it works. I have struggled with anxiety and depression for years, however the anxiety is what has been rearing it's head lately. It comes with issues with eating and nausea. I'm looking to be able to reach out in those moments of struggle in between therapy sessions.

Hi, I'm new! Depression and Anxiety are my struggles
Welcome pandaunicorn... the way this forum works is that you chat with others going through the same Anxiety issues as you. We help each other through our own life experiences and learn through that. I'm glad you are here with us. xx
Thank you, just figuring out how to navigate and where to look is a little overwhelming. I had a breakdown and intensive therapy back in Oct through the end of the year. I had been doing really well until the last week or so. We have 2 homes and are at our vacation house for a month and it's the first time since before my breakdown. I'm really struggling with irrational anxiety/nausea and trying to stay positive and not go down the slippery slope.
Pandaunicorn Welcome ! You've come to the right (and safe) place.. My experience here is that we give and receive support from like minded folks. My own experience with anxiety is it's many triggers. For instance "not being able to control events" We all experience this. Then the anxiety seems to build the more we try and gain control. It will often trigger other contributing stressors and then you get a full blow panic attack. One thing, if I may, try and be aware of triggers, as well as not always being able to get immediate resolution of the situation. That's when it's time to remove yourself from the trigger. Both physically and mentally... Stop, get grounded and do some deep breathing.. Then if you can...take a walk ..Give yourself permission to put the trigger aside until you can talk it out with some one ...
Hope this helps in some way.

Definitely come here!! We are here to help support you any way we can!! Depression and anxiety are rough and they can show in many forms and different levels. Please don't be afraid to talk. Hugs!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Welcome pandaunicorn! Nice to meet you and there are plenty of people to talk and help.
Welcome.
Know that you are not alone. After I was sexually assaulted by a family member, I struggled with anxiety. Counseling helped, but I was only able to do do biweekly.
My counselor helped with coping strategies such as meditation, awareness of surroundings, and breathing. Having a support network and people who would pray was definitely helpful for me as well.
It may be helpful for you to call or send a message to your counselor while you are at your vacation home as well. (Maybe virtual ?)
Would any of these results be helpful for you as well? list.ly/list/4RqZ-peace-for...
