Concerned about cost -Adding Lamotrigine ER and Elfolate

I have been in a six month low grade depression after a manic episode this summer. My doctor prescribed these yesterday and I was in shock by the high prices. I left a message for the doctor. I want to hear from people taking these drugs and how they manage the costs. I have Medicare for insurance and a drug savings plan.

The first month starts at a low dose that goes to 100mg. That second month (with the discount) is $406.14. Thanks in advance.

Yikes...I don't know anything about them but I do know its good idea to try a different pharmacy. Each one is different. Walgreens is the highest. Rx.com I think will tell you the cheapest place. We have the first one in our town for $77. Walgreens is twice that. Another thing you can do is ask your Dr if there is a generic form. Hope this helps. 🙂
