I have 3, 2 crazy cats and a chocolate lab, so I’m never left alone.

I’ve had as much as 5 at one time, they save me everyday.

Daisy is amazing, beautiful color. πŸ’œ

Just like personal loneliness, I never wanted them to suffer separation anxiety (my dogs, cats don’t care) so always got them companions so they too wouldn’t be lonely when I was at work or away from home.

That's a great idea. They get lonely same as us πŸ’›

Such a valid point -

We had two female chocolate lab sisters (same litter) from puppyhood for that reason. Sadly, one became very ill and was put down three years ago. For months, our remaining dog mourned the loss. She literally cried at night. Her depression caused hair loss and weight gain. She is back to health, but it took a good 8 months for that to happen. It was the saddest thing because we couldn’t console her.

I had a black and chocolate who were buddies, this was many years back. My chocolate passed fairly suddenly at 12 and my black one would go to the window looking for her. So sad, but they know they have bonds with each other.

I’m sorry for your loss, anytime we lose one, we mourn them just like a member of our human family. πŸŒΊπŸ’œ

Awe she's gorgeous. I've got a dwarf rabbit called Dylan. He's been great helping me through the lockdowns. I've posted about him on the positive well being section of HU

Thanks... Aww those are so cute! What a nice name you gave him. I agree they are a great distraction during these lockdowns.

I know this thread may be inactive at the moment! But, I truly do think my puppy is making a great impact on me , and my mental health! I have a 5 month old cocker spaniel mix puppy named Baxter or I call him Bax lol. He’s been such a joy to me.

Awww that must be so much fun. I love dogs and puppies. That's a great breed. I'm glad your puppy makes you happy. When we get a bigger place we plan to get a pup. Can't wait πŸ’›
