I have severe tinnitus which spikes every day especially in the evening, it is loud sleeping is difficult, this causes stress and anxiety which in turn feeds the tinnitus, my quality of life is rubbish and there is no cure for tinnitus, not much to look forward to except more pain and anxiety.

Hello Catman68,

I suffer from tinnitus as well.It is not the reason why I get severe anxiety and panic attacks but I have learned to deal with it. At least now I can cross off tinnitus as one of the causes.

I try not to listen to loud music.

But there is some videos on YouTube to help you with it.

I have had it years but tapering off Cymbalta and I am not sure if this is the reason but it is so bad. Cracking up with it. It is constant and worse than I could ever have imagined. I feel your pain.

Maceymae I feel your pain as well. Will there ever be a cure for this debilitating condition, me thinks not in my life time.

For me, cymbalta is the devil when trying to back down or come off it. It seems to amplify everything.

Hi Catman68,

I've had tinnitus for years & find that silence makes it more noticeable so I always have music or the tv on. I've also been using a white noise machine at night; it has ten different settings for white noise & I use the fan with a deep sound and I sleep much better. I doubt I could sleep without it. Oh yes I have that problem too. I’ve learned that I can get to sleep by keeping an air purifier on low. It helps cancel the ringing and is more like soft white noise. Hope that helps!

I use a sound oasis sound generator with pillow speaker and I also use the Beltone calmer app. Not had Cymbalta i use Zoppies not look forward to the day when I have to come of them
