Depression with work.

I don’t know if this is situational depression or not but I’m a 23 year old student who’s about to complete an MBA and is going for another Masters. I have constant panic attacks when I have to work that make it really really difficult with jobs but my school comes naturally. Most people assume the two are intertwined but for some reason I immensely struggle to control my stress and depressive episodes during jobs. Like even minimum wage ones. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Hard1998, I would think it depends on the person. I struggle in both school and work. With these anxiety I don’t like the restrictions on me, like sitting in one place, or with a bunch of other people. I like to feel free to move around and talk or leave. The job I have now I like because I go in when I want as long as I get the job done. So my head has notice it’s a comfort zone. Yes, I have anxiety at times but I move around or hide until I can calm myself down. I suggest talking to your supervisor about it. See if they can accommodate you at work due to the panic attacks.

try talking to yourself in the mirror and imagine someone who you think supports you and cry your heart out and talk to yourself its kinda weird but it helps for me depending on what type of person you are

I understand! I used to have the same problem. You might want to check out this book on anxiety. It helped me understand and work on my anxiousness! bit.ly/37GNJLw Hope this helps. Blessings!
