What is wrong with people?

36 year old Dad of three. Had to move in with grandmother because of breakdown that wife had. Finishing up year 3 of bachelor's degree and the current political climate has turned my gma into a horrible person who smokes inside the house with kids and regularly tells me I am evil because I respectfully disagree with her politics. I am nearly ready to move family into a homeless shelter. Hope everyone else's Sunday is going well.

I am sorry that you are having a hard time, but congratulations on finishing year three of your university. Maybe during a cooling off period, you can talk with your Grandmother and just explain to her how smoking can be harmful to the kids with second hand smoke, then try to avoid talking about politics. Countries are divided no matter who is being voted for. Do you have any other relatives that you could possibly stay with until your wife is better and you finish with university. I will pray for you. Father in Jesus name, send help to this dear man to find a home for him and his children, a safe place. Bring peace and healing to his wife who has a breakdown so they can get back to being a family. Amen.

Thank you for the prayers. I have tried for two years explaining to her the harms of second-hand smoke. I don't have the energy to hypothesize on how she justifies still doing it. My wife and I just pray everyday that He will protect their little lungs and rebuke the spirit. I have on many occasions asked to not talk politics with me, and she will be respectful for a few days then march into my room and start her rants. We stay local to the part of the house we live in, but that is sometimes not enough. Thank you for listening and God be with you.
