Constantly Fear Death

For some reason it's all i can think about- just a constant fear of the dying process and how unfair it is that we have to go through it. I've always been a Christian which I think why I've never thought about it, but lately I've been panicking over the thought of what if God doesn't exist and that's it. It's consuming me and they only way I've been able to function and work is to try to distract myself and take a little Klonopin which I don't like doing. I need some major help.

The best way to get over the fear is to get familiar with it. Read NDE books. (NDE=Near Death Experiences.) They are almost all positive. I look forward to death except for the weightless tunnel of Light we will all go through. I'm afraid of heights. Also not looking forward to my life review, i.e. seeing how I've hurt others or made mistakes. Yikes. Also, you are already dead. When we "die" we are actually truly then being born. Remember, Jesus said that in order to go to Heaven, we must be "born again." Also, try EMDR (look it up) They offer sliding scale fees for low income. It has really helped me with my fear of heights. Hope all this helps you dear! I am always here if ya wanna chat.

Imagine Heaven by John Burke. Also Chicken Soup for the Soul's Messages From Heaven. The latter is not a book on NDE's however may be helpful to you. I have personally read the first one and it is amazing. I believe it will greatly help you. I think you can get it used on Amazon for a few bucks. Good luck!

I'm sorry you are struggling with this. The COVID19 crisis has many unsure of their futures, and I can see how it would cause these thoughts. As Christians, we have the upper hand. We already know a better life awaits us. But perhaps it's more a fear of pain than of death? That is my prayer, that when it's my time, it happens quickly or quietly in sleep. If you don't journal, it might help to get the feelings and thoughts out. I've often used journaling to clear my head when my 90 mph merry go round of thoughts gets going. Maybe read scriptures that speak of heaven, of the peace of Christ, and that the Holy Spirit is within you to comfort. Prayers for peace, strength and comfort.

So sorry that u r experiencing this. That is how my anxiety/depression started 5 years ago. It was very rough to the point I literally thought I was losing my mind. However, the God ur wondering about has been doing wonders for me. He has actually given me a few really good days lately, no depression, no anxiety. Hang n there, cause He's able to do the same for u. Just ask Him & watch what He will do, when u least expect it. HUGS to u!
