Gallbladder Issues

Has anyone here suffered from a bad gallbladder? I recently had a hida-scan done and it came back showing my gallbladder is only functioning at 20%. It's taken me a while to get these results because I kept getting push back on getting it checked. I'm glad I kept pushing. Well I get lose of appetite and when I do eat anything that's not bland my right side hurts. I'm finally going to see another GI specialist today to get a second opinion about what to do and hopefully something can be done soon before I disappear. Of course my anxiety is through the roof. Any who, not sure if anyone else here has suffered from gallbladder issues?

Hi there! Sorry to hear about your Gallbladder problems. Like you I have had a lot of weight loss, no appetite, discomfort on right side. I had a Hida Scan, Ultrasound, and Upper Endoscopy. All tests were normal. My doctor was really surprised as he has been certain it was my Gallbladder. In the meantime I am still having the symptoms and all my clothes are baggy on me from weight loss.

I guess you could say I am an anxious person. I have been on Venlafaxine for many years for depression/anxiety. I sometimes wonder if my meds are causing the symptoms.

I hope you have better luck with another doctor. I am surprised the first doctor didn't suggest removing your Gallbladder.
