A grey day

As a depression, anxiety and minor bipolar battler(I try not to suffer from them, but battle them daily)there are days that I have a mental support stick of hope to lean on that assists with the climb and of course there are those other days where even getting out of bed is almost impossible.A huge difficulty I find is the lack of understanding of these conditions, especially the combinations which unfortunately leads to an even more sense of aloneness. Sadly I have accepted this feeling of being alone,my husband is wonderfully supportive but doesn't get it and never will as he is by nature a solver of problems and because he cannot solve my illness,he feels helpless and the paradox becomes an endless loop of me comforting him because he can't help me.

Today is okay,I am leaning on my hope stick,a grey day is preferable to the suffocating cloud of hopelessness filled with self doubt, rage, how pointless my life is, how useless I am. I may not be able to help anyone but I can say I know how some feel and empathise. Thank you for this site, to share and connect with others battling every day.

How Infini so many have the same symptoms. Do you take medication and have you checked

for side effects of tablets? If you do take tablets it might help to check the UK government website yellowcard, which has a drug profile analysis in graphs which might help you see how some tablets can make you worse. If you sleep during the day, do you also sleep at night? Do you wake up at three in the morning and then pace the floors and go to bed later?

It took years to diagnose, a sleep disorder, but find a sleeping tablet helps at night.

Also some foods can make you more drowsy, and sleeping after a meal at lunch time can upset your metabolism. If you know why you feel so useless, and down may be you can trck it back to your youth when you were growing up and were made to feel you had failed?

There are countless reasons for depression including health related problems, including the menopause. I had an early menopause, and had to have the op aged about thirty four. This was really depressing as felt hormonally and mentally depressed. Am so pleased you have a lovely husband, but just hope you might check other health problems, and diet which may be affecting your liver, and metabolism.
