How do you gain the strength to pull yourself out of a dark period?
hi welcome aboard hopefully things pick up now you have accessed this forum.dealing with our issues one at a time helps with the most serious 1st its a great starter.
Sorry to say that is the way life is, but if we are smart we learn by these problems and grow. If your depression is unmanageable talk to your Dr. perhaps some antidepressants would be of help. I have been taking them most of my life, I have a faulty brain. Also a good therapist could help you thru this stretch in your life, I have been in and out of therapy for almost 40 years, it is a godsend. I have grown so much over the years. But I still need the antidepressant. The medication I am on also helps keep the anxiety away. I am functioning well, and handle my problems as they crop up. I recommend a good book I read 30 years ago by Dr. Scott Peck "The Road Less Traveled" it helped me a lot, the book was in the top 10 best seller list for 7 years. Some other books you might consider are by Dr. Claire Weeks, I have one of those I refer to. Write to us, we offer love and support, we know what it is like to suffer...I send you love, courage, peace and big hugs......
First of all I think it's best to accept it and not look for short term happy solutions instead see this as the way it is atm but be determined for improvement
Take knock backs in your stride as life does seem to be one problem after another
I am taking phenylalanine atm which is great for depression for me but I am not on medication if you are on meds check with your GP also phenylalanine isn't good for anyone with bipolar as it could trigger mania
Phenylalanine is making me lose weight too but the original reason I am taking it is bc it creates melanin ( as well as dopamine and other nurotransmitters ) my skin was burning if I was in the sun phenylalanine and tyrosine create melanin so being in the sun isn't a problem now the antidepressant aspect of it is a bonus
I am sorry about how you feel! Maybe a therapist can provide you a lot of help. Maybe a medication is necessary. Take care of yourself. Seek help. You don't have to suffer.
