I’m always the last resort

My friends completely ignored and excluded me my entire senior year. The only time anyone texts me or wants to talk to me is when they want help with school or for me to give them my notes or answers. The only 2 friends that ever suggest hanging out only want to hang out individually with me never in a group and it’s tiring. Even today, I was supposed to hang out with my friend and when I text her to ask to go, she accidentally sends me a text replying to her other friend saying that she’s getting ready to go with them to hang out. She completely ditched our plans to hang out with other friends. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. They just treat me like crap and walk all over me and I let them because I’m afraid to be completely alone. They make me feel so bad about myself and I’m tired of feeling like this when I’m already struggling with my mental health.

I know the feeling. I went through the same thing and I hated being alone but I choose to have no friends than to deal with people that were bad for my mental health.

Sounds like you are very smart, have good intuition, and see people for who they are. Seems you are way stronger than you give yourself credit for and could totally handle ditching them. With your incites, new friends will come along eventually

Hi Libra,

Sorry to hear what you're going through, but I agree with Shimmer that it's better for your mental health not to have these friends. I presume you have other friends because you say they are the only 2 who ever suggest hanging out. Well, you could suggest hanging our with those other friends. I think you need to work on your self-esteem and self worth. Are you seeing a therapist and what's senior year? 🤔I'm from UK.
