Today is feeling a little better

I have been having a good start to my day so far today. For once I woke up when I wanted to and did not oversleep. I slept in a little too late yesterday and felt very anxious all day.I have a hard time winding down at night and feel like I have been slightly self-medicating by having a glass of wine before bed to help me get to sleep. I know this isn't a healthy habit to develop, but I am not sure what else I should do. I almost dread going to sleep at night because I don't feel like I always sleep comfortably. I am still in search of a good pillow to sleep on. I bought a memory foam pillow and honestly find it more uncomfortable than my old pillow. Has anyone else been having similar problems with oversleeping or feeling uncomfortable when sleeping? What seems to help?

Hello CalicoPurpl90!

I just signed on to this site and noticed you are sort of nearby in San Diego. I do have trouble with sleep, but usually it's when I wake up around 2:00am and then can't get back to sleep.

The thing that has worked for me the most is listening to self hypnosis/guided meditations on Youtube with my ipad. I have these smaller earphones that are more comfortable and don't bother you if you fall asleep. The guy I listen to is Michael Sealey. Try his "Natural Healing Sleep" and see if you like it. He has many others as well.
