Anxiety makes me feel insecure

Hi guys, I’ve just downloaded this because I actually need someone to talk about this depression/ anxiety that I got. The only fact to write a post and share it gives me anxiety but I will still go ahead and do it. I felt really sad today talking with some friends, because every time we have a good topic it’s like I’m scared to give my opinion and get judge. My friends are easy going people but sometimes they get to judge me because of my way of being silent. I told them is anxiety but they still think that I just don’t care about having a conversation with them. I understand that they can’t understand it because I never had this issue before but now I started to have this panics to say my ideas, my thoughts and so. I really don’t know what to do. Sometimes I do cry because I feel like this anxiety it’s taking my security. I have many things which anxiety comes over and makes me feel low.

Just wanted to share it. For those who have time to read it I want to say thank you at least I am not alone.

P.s sorry if my English isn’t the best I’m trying to translate from Italian to English 🙏🏽

Anyway I am very down and depressed myself I had some anxiety yesterday I’m not afraid most of time to express thoughts and opinions but have my days moments wher I second guess myself lose confidence and all and it feels really off!! Hi hurtingheart1

Do you take antidepressants and anxiety meds?

You are so brave to share your story. You should get help from a professional doctor who specializes in anxiety. Since it seems to affect your relationships, talking to a doctor can help you with that. Maybe ask one friend to coffee and just talk about what you feel with that person; that way you can explain to just one person, without feeling so overwhelmed.

You did a great job translating! =) Anxiety and fear are disabling and I sympathize with you! I know it's hard and gets harder and harder the longer you wait. Some things that will help are taking magnesium and ginseng, they calm the mind body and spirit and get rid of sticky negative thoughts that loop. They help a lot! Also, when I was in high school they said if you picture everyone in old underwear it makes them less threatening and brings a chuckle to cancel the fear. =D Everyone's on equal terms, everyone puts their pants on one leg at a time. You and your input is just as valuable as theirs and might bring needed help to the conversation. You got this, dear. <3

Hi. Great job with your English. You cannot control how people react to your opinions and thoughts. But that does not mean your opinions and thoughts are not important and valid. If they are friends, they will accept you, anxiety and all. You are not alone.

You spoke really well, Jessica :) But, when in doubt, there are always emojis lol

Never be afraid to give your opinion. Everyone else does. Your true friends will respect you, even if they disagree. The ones who don't, well, they can go take a long walk off a short pier. Never be afraid to be you. Never be afraid to speak up or out. Just be the best you you can be :)

Your pal,

Brian

I really enjoyed reading your post! I’ve felt the same way but have never been able to put it into words as well as you. The only thing that’s helped me is therapy, so I hope you find something that helps you.

Also, your English was fantastic! I would have never guessed it wasn’t your first language, I’m impressed
