hey everyone, i'm new to this. i've put this off for a while but i've been having a lot of lows this week, including several breakdowns. not sure what to do as all my family does is make me feel guilty for being depressed and anxious when it comes to every aspect of my life. they believe that it's an excuse to be lazy.

Hey sparkles welcome it's a shame your family are not more supportive because it would make a difference! Have you been to your doctor to see if he can give you any help! The breakdowns are horrible have you no one else you can confide in! Don't feel guilty as this is very real so go to your doctor as soon as you can! Take care All the best david

Hi. I’m Andy 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

A very warm welcome to you. Good to have you with us all.

This is an amazing group of people. Kind, caring and compassionate. You reach out as much or as you need. Help will always be available.

I’m so very sorry to hear about what you are going through. It’s very sad to hear that your family are not being as compassionate as they should be.

Lots of people do not believe in mental health issues. To them it’s an excuse. And that people’s should just get on with it. So terribly wrong.

Please be kind to yourself. Make sure that you are getting enough nourishment. Vital. And caring for your body as well as your mind is very important.

Maybe try new things. I’d heard that journaling daily is very helpful. Also cathartic to get things out of your head and down on paper.

New hobby? Is there something that you have always thought would be interesting to do? A course online? Reading, learning. All these things can distract, and give you a real sense of accomplishment. Boost the happy hormones.

Please keep reaching out here.

Take good care,

Andy.
