Hi. I’m Andy.
I’m so sorry that you are having a tough time. I really am.
I’ve found that if I keep distracted it helps me so much.
So I’ve gone online and taken up a couple of coursed. Lasting around 5 weeks. You are studying and learning so your mind is distracted. For me, a God send.
Try and find your distraction. Reading, writing a journal. If you can, an exercise program. Consult your g.p first if you have any health problems.
Once this world gets in an even keel, maybe Volunteering. Very rewarding and making new colleagues and friends is a bonus.
I really hope that anything I’ve said is helpful.

I can relate. I have noticed a spike in my anxiety since March and just this past week with all the protests made it worse for a few days. They were boarding up businesses right up the street from me (literally a 5 min walk) and it made me want to hide under the bed like a kid would granted I know that wouldn't have accomplished anything. It's a crazy time indeed.

Please forgive my intrusion but is your anxiety and depression just because of this whole situation of pandemic and violence or have you had a medical condition even before all these things coming down on us? I am asking because I know people who were happy and secure before, suddenly worry about everything. Most of the time these people only need some talk and a better perspective of what is going on. But for people who had conditions before, it is worse for them, so they should talk to their counselors and get some meds if possible. As things begin opening up, things will get a little bit better as we go back to a little bit of our normal lives.
