Despite the cheesy/whimsical title, the following depicts a real life experience that took place many decades ago; an occurrence that... haunts me to this very day. For those of you that frighten easily, this shall be your one opportunity to click away for, once I begin this recounting, I shall be every bit as merciless as the spirit itself. You have been warned...
It had been a night much like any other; I was in bed with blanket wrapped tight around me. Slumber fell upon me quickly, within the darkness of my room. Nothing could prepare me for what awaited. As I transcended the border of waking to dreaming, I found myself walking through a moonlit wood; the perceived climate was a comfortable one, Spring, early Fall perhaps. In the distance, I could hear the singing of multiple women, albeit of no discernible language beyond that of music itself; as moth to flame, I was drawn.
Eventually, I found myself stepping into the center of a large circle of trees. As I looked about, dark feminine silhouettes darted from tree to tree, their song never stopping. At that moment, at least, I was awash in feelings of tranquility. Suddenly, out of the corner of my left eye, appeared a dark feminine silhouette with blood red eyes. The moment she was noticed, there was a perceptible pressure against the center of my back; SHE WAS IN MY ROOM! My body paralyzed from the terror.
In my mind, I heard her say the following; "Gofollowyourpathpleasethankyou." Suddenly I was being pushed out of the circle of trees; all the while, my body rolled onto its other side. My mind was racing, screaming questions; "Friend or foe?" "Good or evil?" Although she didn't reply, I could sense her answer; Both.
The woods darkened as I was pushed further away from the circle. Eventually, the need to know overpowered my paralyzation; I slowly rolled back over and forced my eyes open. Acclimated to the darkness, my sight was enough to verify that I was alone in my room; despite the observation, I remained on edge as I went back to sleep. The touch of her hand was STILL at my back.
