Please help guys!!

Does anyone else experience night sweats from either anxiety or antidepressants.

The doctor seems to think it’s my anxiety but my crazy mind is thinking all horrible things.

Anyone else? x

I have had this a main symptom of my anxiety for the past 5 years has been burning up going all hot and sweating. What antidepressants are you on and how long have you been on them. I got put on sertraline and for the first couple of weeks going on them I got it all worse

Thanks for responding to me.

I’m on Citalopram. I’ve been on them for the majority of 5 years and I remember having night sweats with them in the first few months but they have come back pretty severe.

Is the sweating you have in the daytime or at night? x

I have experienced night sweats due to the anti-depressants i was on. My bed used to get soaking wet and i had to wake up in the middle of the night everyday to change my bed sheets and Pj’s.

Thank you for responding and reaching out 😊. Did you get the night sweats after taking them for many years on & off? Did you switch to another antidepressant in the end?

I hope you will get better very soon!! I got the night sweats after taking the anti-depressants for couple of months non stop, they weren’t really working for me anw so i switch to another medication. If it makes you feel better contact your doctor and tell him about that issue im sure there will be a solution. Stay strong!

Thank you. I’ve rang my doctor today and got an appointment for some blood tests to put my mind at ease that nothing else is going on. Hopefully this will give me some peace x

I had a friend who was depressed when her partner died. She was given a sleeping pill for it, supposedly for sleep, anxiety etc. She got completely hooked and had to keep havihg a higher dose. It got to the point where she would be shaking and being sick if she didnt have huge doses very quickly. The doctor was totally out of his depth and was then wanting to prescribeher more and more different things. It was her that worked out it was the sleeping pills making her so ill.It never occurred to her doctor. She was fine when she stopped taking them and stopping took about a week to be ok. She tried some antidepressants and felt quite bad so refused to take more of them. We met on a forum for people who are going through bad times, a free prayer forum, quite by chance a few years ago - I was then worried about my partner and finances and she was going through this - at accuratepsychicreadingsonli.... I know about ten people who have taken antidepressants and all of them said they felt worse after and stopped taking them.

I have bad night sweats on duloxetine and I think if your body is used to your dose that causes the sweats - maybe your dosage needs reviewing?

I have them maybe once or twice a week now, but I also have very vivid dreams so wonder if that's more the reason now. Good you've got a review at your doctor
