Little things to make it better

During this time I am finding it really hard to deal with my depression. I'm currently overloaded with homework and my brain is going 100 miles a minute. Are there any tips or tricks to make yourself feel better? Something you can do from home?

And ur health

I think you are doing a really good job. I like to have my needs met- physical, spiritual, psychological and social. I am using this site to supplement my social needs at this time. I like to read bizarre books and study things of interest. I like planning things. I like tarot cards. Hmm. I like talking to people. Jumping jacks? Good luck . I wish I had better answers for you.

Hi Suzhou--I agree with the others. Even stepping outside and smelling the fresh air helps me. Take a break from the computer screen. Look out the window. Listen to music. Read comforting books (I've been reading graphic novels and young adult books that I loved years ago). Be gentle with yourself. This is a very tough time. If that doesn't work, try ice cream and coffee :-). Sending hugs!!

Oh, one more thing. Do whatever you need to do to get a good night's sleep. Sleep is amazingly helpful.

Ya I definitely haven’t slept well in months so that might be why too 🖤

Hi again Suzhou. Perhaps make a Dr appointment to test your thyroid. Magnesium supplement?

I had depression for a long time and thyroid meds helped me a lot with that. There is an ideal range. Most doctors didn't know how to help but now I found a good one. Good luck.
