Paxil Taker for 17 years

Hello.. I have been on Paxil for many years. I started on 30 mil but that was too little. Went to 60 mil and recently to 90 mil. Ive never really had side effects for a 51 year old male. All I know is that I get head aches when I forget to take it for a couple of days. I tried to switch last year through my regualr doctor, but nothing else seemed to fit. Recently, Ive been told that I should be on at leasdt one more med different from Paxil, but Im researching this. Hope this helps. Best, David

I have been on these medications for most of my life and now I am going through a period where all my medications are being reduced, Live is very interesting

I was on Paxil for 25 years. It worked great until it didn't. It took awhile to find a different antidepressant that worked for me. And it took a year and a half to wean off the Paxil. That was a nightmare. I would still have taken the Paxil, but like I said, expect a slow weaning process. At least that was my experience. Everyone is different.
