Just because of the crisis, it doesn't mean we have to stop being frugal.
In an effort to minimize my trips out, I've started eating through some of the forgottens in my fridge.
Today, my friend and I baked this frozen apple pie (from last Thanksgiving) This is really just the tip of the forgotten food brigade. It'll just get funkier from here on out.
My inner frugalista loves how this is saving me money.

I am doing this as well until I went out and got my hair done.. first time in 5 years so I figure I’ve saved the money not going for so long I deserved a little splurging... 😊 I still have canned food from 2 years ago I’m using now.... not worried about running out of edibles...
Me really either. My friend ( and the 86 year old I care for) said that in St.. Petersburg, Russia (where she is from originally) all the buckwheat and onions are off the shelves, because people are hoarding them. (Russian comfort food!! )

Thanks for posting....went to the supermarket today for Apple pie and some custard ...came home with a tin of pineapple chunks and some gravy granules

I'm working on being more frugal. Please offer any tips you can. I will start with some of the forgotten. I have two loaves of frozen bread dough in the freezer and as soon as I use up the bread we have they are first on the list. I also climbed behind the washer and dryer to see if the fallen bottles still have anything in them. Not much but it's a start.
Sure thing- who knows, we might stumble upon a new flavor combination or dish in our pursuits?
