Hey all..its been a minute. I've took some time off from here. I've been doing good. But tonight I guess I could use some reassurance.
I'm currently on lamictal. some days I skip my meds because I forget to take them. I always get scared I'll get that deadly rash, I've been on the meds for almost a year. But I still get nervous.
Well, I have a fever now. And I guess I'm uneasy. I feel like I might be getting the rash. It's just warm cheeks. But if you have health anxiety you feel like the worlds caving.
Someone give me some reassurance? Please.

With Lamictal you shouldn’t be experiencing such as you are. I have been on this drug for years and haven’t experienced any such side affects. Be sure to set a reminder to take them as your Doctor has prescribed it. It is important. At times missing a dose can unbalance your blood level at where it is supposed to be. Maintain taking your meds regularly and thing should improve. Hope you feel better.
I'm on lamictal also. You have to prioritize taking your meds. You can't skip doses.
I believe after being on it for a year the rash shouldn't be an issue. I could be wrong so just ask your prescriber.
I remember being told when I started it that you need to start low dose and titrate up slowly. I was also told if I stopped it at any point and needed to go on it again you have to start from scratch with the lowest dose all over.
Certainly the rash is very dangerous. If you think you have a rash seek medical attention immediately.
You need to make a plan to be more compliant with your meds.
