Hello are you in the uk. And are you taking duloxetine at the moment ? The reason I ask is in uk cipralex is a very good antidepressant. When I was prescribed duloxetine I also felt adrenaline rushes. And stopped taking it. It sounds like you need antidepressants to keep you balanced , not hype you up as the other two your taking made me feel. I have been on cipralex 20mg for four years and it works good for me. Ask your doctor about this as it might not be the down dosing of amitriptyline but the duloxetine that’s causing the discomfort. Which horrible I also take propranolol. A beta blocker. That stopped my panic attacks. Good luck I hope this help 😊

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. Anxiety is such a beast. I take something called CALM (its magnesium) and

L methofolate and Tumeric. My anxiety isn't gone totally but I can breathe and the adrenaline rushs have subsided significantly.

Please don't feel badly about reaching out. Anxiety and Depression are tuff. And sadly there is no one answer. Our bodies respond differently so we need all the help and ideas we can get. Keep posting. Your not alone. Hugs

Yes, any drop in medication can affect you, though I think with anxiety (I struggle with D and A also) that our worry about how it will affect us actually increases our anxiety right when we’re cutting back. You might ask your doctor if he’d prescribe something for situational anxiety that you could take one when you feel especially bad but not take when you’re doing ok. I have lorazepam first this, it is the generic for Ativan. Sometimes I need it once a day, other times I don’t need it for two weeks. But it’s a good tool to have something like that to back you up. I think clonazepam (generic does Klonopin) may be used in this way also though am not positive. Hang in there, it is hard. But you’re not alone.

There are better drugs than Amytryptalene for Depression the replacement is one of them.

The amount you are taking of above is not a big does, I take it for nerve damage not depression. Good luck with the change hopefully the replacement drug will be better for you and you will move on very soon.

Side affects with the dose you are taking and withdrawing should not be causing the problems you are suggesting. Get onto the working drug as soon as possible.

I take 75mg of Amytryptalene daily and I can reduce it down to 25mg with no problem.

In fact I feel coming of this old medication on such low doses is not a real problem

Thank you BOB for you coment , but I’m very sensitive to medicine and amitriptyline 25 mg is strong enough for me ,and it did help a lot with panic attack’s and a bit for the anxiety..only when I dropped the dose to 20 mg I started to have my old symptoms back ,I know it sounds weird but the 5mg made a lot difference for me ...I’m afraid of starting the new med Duloxetine becouse all the antidepressants makes me worse and some of it give me panic attack’s ...Prozac and sertraline was one of Than...amitriptyline has been very appealing against the others ...hope soon I find something to bring me back where I belong 🤞🏻in name of Jesus 🙏🏼Amém ...once again thank you so much for you support...hugs Bela

The problem is this medication is classed as dirty by some GPs, they will now try and divert you of this medication to one with less negative side affects.

Have confidence with your GP, What is happening to you now will only have positive side affects in the mid time period. I am going through a period where many of my medications will be reduced or ceased. That of course frightens me, however I need to do as I am told and bite the bullets dished out to me

Dont eat the top 8 allergens for a while and see if that helps. Especially wheat, dairy and soy. Check for thyroid disease.
