Just been to doctors who does not agree with the hospital and wants me to stay on 100mg sertraline after being on sertraline for 10 weeks 4 weeks of which on 100mg. He also wants me to try propranolol instead of phenergan as phenergan is not really doing anything. He looked at the diary I have kept on how I feel since 14th September and worked out that out of 18 days I had 11 reasonable days it is just since Saturday I have not had any good days. Some reassurances please that I can get through this

Isn't it just a pain when doctors disagree? What do they expect us to do?
How do you feel about what your doctor says? Who did you see at the hospital - was it a Junior Doctor or a Specialist Consultant ?
Whose advice for you think makes more sense & how long have you known your own doctor?
Just some points for consideration . . .
hi, i am sorry for your bad days. If you had 11 good days last month, maybe this month you can have 12 good days! You can do it! One day at a time. You are in my thoughts and prayers
I've been on Zoloft and it didn't work for me. That being said, it may take trying several different antidepressants to get the right fit for you. It's difficult to advocate for ourselves when we suffer from depression. We deserve to be heard. If you're having difficulties with your doc - try someone else. Mental health nurse practitioners are quite qualified to manage meds. Keep trying until you find something that works! Good karma!
You can get through this I have been on sertraline 7 yrs almost great for me 75 mg
