*Depressing/ Triggering words following*

As the blood drips down I'm starting to see,

The truly real pain is inside of me.

It runs down my skin and into the rag,

The one stressing most seems to be my dad.

As I get ready for bed the pain comes once more,

Though no one is home, I still shut my door.

The blade from my knife carves a mark in my skin,

And now I find myself in the darkness again.

With nobody near there is nothing to stress,

Yet just like always I put on my best.

Though it's not good enough, I continue to try,

And day after day I ask myself why.

Until I know why I'll continue to see,

The truly dark pain that lurks inside me.

💔. WorshipGirl, I think this is something that really needs to be addressed by professionals. Would you consider going to the emergency room to be treated?

I don't need to go to an emergency room. I'm not that out of hand at this point. I have started seeing a psychiatrist and they are sending me to an "Outpatient Program" that is supposed to help me.

Oh awesome! I didn’t realize you were receiving so much help. I apologize.

Your poem is so sad and raw which is not easy to do.

That's when I write the best. That's part of why I don't usually share my work: it's mostly depressing and I'm always afraid it's going to be too much for some people to handle.

For someone who claims she is not good with words, you’re quite talented. You were smart to put a trigger warning and I’m sure it was appreciated. Do you feel better after releasing some of your work or does it not really make a difference?

After the page had to edit my first post to add a trigger warning, I've been trying to do the same if I think it could cross a line for someone. I knew what I wrote was dark. That's why I had to let it out.

Actually posting it online for other people to see was freaking scary. I didn't know how other people were going to react to it. It feels pretty good to hear other people say that it sounds good. Definitely a confidence boost for someone like me with no self esteem! Thank you!!

Amazing ! Look at you overcoming your fears! It is SO hard to put art out there when you have no idea how people will react. Thank you for inviting us to see such a raw version of what you’re going through. Not many people are able to put themselves to that level of vulnerability!

All the best

I hope you feel better after writing that and then reading it back again. Words when written or typed in a way you're admitting to yourself that there is a problem. I used to write poems, before they were all happy but now my inspiration comes when I feel sad and lonely. But reading them back, I realise I have a problem and I cope with it by doing things that I like. Talk to my sister, checkout cat videos or read a good book.

I admit I have a problem but only to myself but you have to make sure you don't let it go too far. I don't know when is that but I hope I know and get help immediately.

And it also helps by being surrounded by people who care or smiles a lot. It feels like their joy radiates to me through their smiles and sparkling eyes.

Your poem is really good, and I hope your next poem will reflect a much uplifting theme.

*hugs tightly* I feel so bad for you:'( please let us help you and we promise you'll feel better. We're here for you and want the best for you
