Freaking rough days

Hello everyone. I hope everyone’s weekend was a good and peaceful one. Just wanted to vent a bit I guess. I’ve been diagnosed with severe depression, which has affected me for the past 3 years. I’ve also have OCD since childhood. I’ve been seeing psychiatrists pretty much all my life. I was actually retired on my pension due to my severe depression.

I’ve noticed the last few weeks my depression getting worse. I’m trying to figure out if their was a triggering event that might’ve brought this on. The only thing I can pinpoint is the fact that my hormone Dr stopped my testosterone injections, stating that my test levels were too high, so he took me off of them. Another thing was, I started on Abilify about 2 weeks ago, but due to the side effects I stopped them after a week of taking them. Another thing was my APN had me raise my tintrillex to 15mgs instead of 10mgs. So pretty much that’s all that’s happened in the last month. Now, I’m thinking could anyone one of these changes cause my depression to spike? Not too sure. But I’m thinking maybe my hormone Dr shouldn’t have stopped my testosterone shots cold turkey instead of tapering them? Anyways this is where I’m at. I haven’t been feeling well, but I’m pushing forward, I have my therapist today so I’m going to see what he’s going to say. Thank you. SAMSON

You should check out Bignoknow on YouTube. He’s dealing with the same issues plus a few more. His videos are so helpful if for no other reason than just knowing you aren’t alone.

I don’t know much about testosterone issues but as a woman I have major estrogen progesterone issues that I’ve noticed cause a spike in my depression and suicidal thoughts

Oh really? I tell you, ever since my Dr stopped my testosterone injections my depression shot right up. It’s been horrible

For a year I had no estrogen (my own research revealed it was my antipsychotic which was also making me lactate by flooding my by with excess prolactin) but when I began taking the estrogen (stronger birth control pills because that’s all they can offer most women) I reeled with horrible thoughts until after a few months it leveled out. You just have to ride it out.

Thank you. I appreciate your advise. I’ll tell you about a month ago I was a lot better. I mean much much better. I’ve got to see the Dr so I can feel better. I’m on antidepressants but ever since he took me off, what a ride! Don’t wish it on anyone SAMSON

Hello how are you? I hope you’re having a good holiday. I went this last week to see my hormone Dr and he didn’t want to draw blood right then and there, which is ridiculous. He told me he wants me to wait another week so the levels can drop some more. It sucks to be honest cause I want to get this done ASAP. SAMSON
