My biggest fear came true. Went for my MRI of my brain and they found a tiny benign tumor on the sheets of the brain. Went to nine doctors nobody too concerned but eventually may need to have surgery. I’m freaking out OCD and health issues is in full swing

Shouldn't instead you be happy they found it and you probably will be good soon? You should really trust modern medicine. it is pretty great.

Also tumors are often cause for psychological disorders as they press into brain. Even if tiny there is a small chance it was giving you ocd/ anxiety before.

No neurosurgeon said it’s so tiny not causing anything ! Yes, glad they found it but the thought of brain surgery is freaking me out

Does your hospital have the new cancer machine? Are You in the UK?

If the lesion is small some machines can target the tumor without invasion of other tissue. I would be hyper too. Can you find out on the net what is available in your area

for radiotherapy?

I am in Miami ! I go to top neurosurgeon around he isn’t worried and because it’s only 7 mm won’t touch it until it grows to size of grape

he'll probably cut that bitch out, while doing a videoblog on doctor memes with his free hand.

Have you looked at the Miami cancer institute which has introduced MRI scan with radiotherapy at the same time since 2017? It is now a part of healthcare in S> West Florida in your region. I know it is benign but if it an be treated whilst it is small

then it won't grow larger. If it grows more than certain millimetres you won't be able to use non invasive methods. If it grows larger then it the symptoms may make you feel worse and your quality of life will be less. There is a danger that

something grows faster than you think and it has not been checked in time.

I can only say that with a skin lesion which was ignored, nothing wrong - it took persistence to get a scan and when the scan came back after 4 years of waiting it had gone to stage 3 malignancy. The depth of lesion was 1.4. The width was

over 6 millimetres.

I had a giant resection of tissue of about 6 inches square getting the thing out, as the first biopsy had not removed it. It pays to check all your options. Take care.

Hi it would be much worse if the doctors were freaking out coz that would mean it's serious. The fact they aren't is a good thing so I expect they will just monitor you for now. Cancer found at a very early stage is very curable so keep telling yourself that. x

No they say it’s not cancerous

No sorry you said benign didn't you! The first part still stands though. If the doctors aren't worried then you needn't be either. x
