I felt fine today. I felt fine yesterday and the day before that. And I'm expecting to feel fine tomorrow.

I can't remember when I last had a bad day. There was one morning last week when I woke up feeling low. But I did have some tough stuff to sort out, but by late morning I was feeling fine.

I reckon I feel normal at least 95% of the time. My anxiety and depression are genetic so it's never going to go away completely but I know how to handle it. Very occasionally I take half a valium but I prefer not to.

I'm expecting to feel fine next Saturday. We're going to zoom off to Salisbury Market for the day, 200+ miles round drive. Lunch in a Thai restaurant and then get stuck into the Market. (We walk right past the spot where that Russian traitor and his daughter collapsed after being poisoned).

Of course, if any day more than three medium sized problems crop up at the same time I'll stop feeling fine for a while because I'll start exaggerating the size of the problems. But I know how to deal with it.

I give thanks to God for the day 45 years ago when I discovered that book on my mother's bookshelf.

I hope you feel fine tomorrow but if not I hope you feel fine some day soon: the day after tomorrow maybe.

The book is/was 'Self help for your nerves' U.K. title also published as 'Hope and help for your nerves' U.S. title by Doctor Claire Weekes. First published 1962, she still has a huge following and this her first book of several is now in its 44th reprint. Available new or used from Amazon or see her interviewed about her method for recovery titled 'Peace from nervous suffering' on YouTube which is over one hour long.
