Hi everybody! I know that I’ve met several of you amazingly supportive people on here over the last few days. This is probably going to sound like a stupid question, but so far, if I have read something someone has posted that I can really relate to, I follow them. Don’t know how many people I’m following that probably at least 15. There are I’d like to say four or five people that really have been a great source of comfort on a regular basis, among everyone else. You all are great! I guess my question is, people like my first post, replied to other comments I’ve made on other’s posts... had some fairly deep conversations with a couple of very special people. I’ve noticed that I don’t see a lot of followers for most people. I get this is not a Instagram, I don’t care about “gaining followers” or popularity at all... i’m just curious if there’s any particular reason why people don’t follow each other that much on here? Basically I’m most concerned about me clicking “follow” on everybody I can relate to, Or agree with what they have to say, or just appreciate their post. Sorry I’m not wording this well. Thanks for any answers though😂

Hi! I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond back, I haven't been on here in a little bit. Thank you! I know the world can be a really cold and mean place, at least from what I've experienced. Having 'issues' and not being able to live up to what some people think qualifies as normal makes getting down on myself really easy. Sometimes being reminded that not everyone is only concerned with themselves and that there are people who want what's best for others, can be enough to snap me out of my doom and gloom and remember there's always hope. Even if it's from someone I've only met through a couple of messages on a site like this, it can still make me want to keep my head above water a little longer. Eveyone needs someone to cheer for them!💜😀❤

Oh my gosh, no! I wasn’t saying anything along the lines of, “thanks but I’ve already been given that advice”😂😂😂. I just thought it was pretty cool that the first two responses were very similar and sort of proves that what you guys say really is the case. I believe that if you follow someone, then every time they post something, you will get a notification in your personal email account.

Yes you do JK. If you follow someone then every time they post something you get a notification. Personally I don't like the idea of anyone following me as I find it a bit creepy, so I disabled my follow button. x

As I’ve said before, I think you among many others here, are just awesome people. There have been a couple of times that I’ve sort of included some humor in some responses and I’m not sure that it was taken very well😂...This is just one more side of this forum that I am seeing, And excuse my language, but it’s pretty fucking great. Everybody sort of seems to have a sense, for the most part, when a person needs serious/intense/immediate support...And when it’s about something not so very serious. Like I saw this post from some new person named “meganick” about “followers”😂. What a dumbass😂😂😂😉😉😉😉... I have sort of a sick sense of humor, so just to be clear all of this is me being positive and joking 🙃

Follow the example of Dirk Gently the holistic detective in Douglas Adams book! He had a habit of getting in his car without knowing where he was going. He would follow the car in front as they obviously knew where they were going on the principle that getting somewhere was better than being lost. x
How successful was he as a detective?
Hyper, for some reason this reminds me of the character Dunbar in the book "Catch-22". He liked to hang around with people that he couldn't stand, because it made his life seem longer.

Thanks Alan, I reviewed all my checked items. I feel like the mobil is so limited becuz when I get on this site w/ my laptop I can see so much more than with the mobil.
I know, me neither😂...Like it’s right there in your face when you have zero or one follower, but you know that you have followed for example, 15 people🙄😉. So yeah, I don’t need notifications about every single thing every person posts. If that’s all following people does, than it’s pretty much of no use.
Well it can be worth it if someone has very similar experiences to you which will help you. x
I wouldn't place too much importance on the number of followers anyone has. I just checked my list of "followers", and most of them aren't even on here anymore. So it's really not that big of a deal.

This forum can get very "heavy". Unfortunately, there's a lot of people with sad stories to tell on here. That's why we're all here in the first place. But you have to lighten things up every so often. At least I do.

Which seeing as mine is private one and work one i dont want people knowing im on here really.
Also u dont really gain anything it not like facebook or instagram.
Most people only want a quick answer or little bit of help then they move on as we have problems it not something we want anyone else knowing .’so dont take it to heart were not miserable or unfriendly 😂
