This is my Furever best friend💗💗💗 Got her from a small town shelter in southern Utah. They had just found her just days before I adopted her. My mom luckily was at the shelter when she came in. They had to shave her fur off to the skin due to mats. So sad!!! I so wish I knew her story cause I know for sure she's had a home before cause she sits immediately without asking for food or treats, doesn't beg or look when I'm eating, when I leave she is calm no barking, etc. She's absolutely calm, sweetest, loving and absolutely the most gentle little soul I've ever met. So if she's like this already she must of had a home. I feel sad for her if she is missing her home but I don't know where she belonged before. Ill keep, love and give her all the best food and treats she'll need to have a great life. Dog parks she loves to run free. There's lots of hiking to do here in Utah. Lakes etc. All in time. But I just adore and love her with all my ❤!!!

Thank you she's just an amazing little soul!! I keep thanking my mom for being there right when she came in. God put her in my life I think. Went thru 2 prior dogs and then gave up looking but then poof her she is!!!!
I love these stories. How old do you suspect she is and how long do they guess she's been on her own? It's always hard to think about back stories, so you'll just give her the life she deserves going forward. Almost two years since my love went to Rainbow Bridge. Would love to convince my hub that it's time......
I'm so sorry for your loss cause I lost my shepherd lab 11 years ago and I still say good morning and night to her everyday. So I know that loss and know how darn hard it is. You should just go get a rescue dog and surprise him and I bet he'd fall in love again. 💗💗🐾🐾 They think she's a couple years old. 2 or 3 maybe. They found her running the streets and had just brought her in luckily while my mom was standing there!!! I too wish I knew her story cause she behaves beyond perfect so I know she's had a home before. It breaks my heart if she's missing her last home. But she was so matted when they found her so who knows how long she was out there the poor thing. We've already been at the dog park this morning for two hours. She's asleep next to me on the couch snoozing💗💗 love my Maddie!!!

Thank you so much 😀 We just got back from dog park for 2 hours. Love being with her. I only work a few days a month in Feb so ill have lots of time to spend getting her out and doing stuff. Will be going to petsmart so I can get a harness or maybe just collar for right now when it opens. Lots of love to you and your fur baby too!!! Cats are awesome too. I've had a few over the years that acted like dogs!! LOL

My sister lost her beloved black lab and 18 months later was talking about getting another one. My sister suffers from severe osteoarthritis and it was the first time we were out walking when we came across a friend of mine with a chap who had a black lab/collie cross with him. He said the landlord had told him he couldn't keep the her and she was 7 months old.
He was looking for a new home urgently for her so of course my sister took her. She turned out to be a wonderful affectionate dog and I dog walked her every day. I loved the very bones of her. She had the lab look with collie behaviour ie ball obsession, barking, needing lots of exercise etc. It was meant to be.

Oh that's so awesome!!! Don't you just love when it is meant to be!!!😀😀 I feel the same way!! I feel so beyond over the moon having her here with me forever!! I love labs so much too. I had a shep-lab mix named Cheyenne who I loved deeply and still consider her the love of my life💗💗💗💗💗 So I totally understand that love for our fur babies. I'm so sorry for you sisters loss. Its so painful when they pass. I have looked at 100s of pics and I think maddie is either blue merle border collie or aussie mix. Shelter said Aussie. Not to sure but all I know is I love her with my ❤ and soul!!! 💗💗💗💗
I call myself a cat person rather than a dog one and Millie my sisters dog was the first one I had really known intimately. I was bowled over by how much dogs give back and how much I loved her and her me. She would stand on her head with her bum in the air waggling it for a slap and tickle all the while grunting with pleasure. x
Yea dogs are my favorite! They have all the love and affection an animal can give which makes them truly amazing little souls. So wonderful. Millie sounds very amazing too and super fun and silly💗💗 is Millie part border collie?
Yes but she looked like a small lab. Unfortunately she is dead now. She was only 7 and hadn't been ill but just dropped dead one evening with no warning - nothing. This will be 2 years ago in April but my sister and I am still in total shock. I will always miss her. x
Omg I'm so sorry you lost her in such a tragic way!!! Nobody knows why? I'm in shock too!! That's bizarre. Border collies and labs are usually pretty healthy dogs. My heart breaks for her!!!!
Thank you. The vet said she could do a post mortem but it would cost a lot and still not provide any answers. He said it does happen occasionally but is not that common in dogs her age.
My sister and I assumed it was either her heart of maybe a brain hemorage or something. Even young adults occasionally drop dead after all. She was well looked after and fed (she wasn't overweight - a big achievement in labs as they are notoriously greedy!), and of course exercised by me and always seemed strong and healthy. The vet said it definitely wasn't poison or anything. x
Oh WOW!! That would kill me if that happened to maddie so I can only imagine how ❤ breaking it was for you both. Has she gotten another lab? To heal her heart from losing Millie?

Awwwwe thanks agora1!!! I love taking her everywhere with me. 2 hours at dog park this early morning. Thankfully I did cause its pouring down rain all day today!! I just took her out and she hated it and ran me back upstairs to my apt!! Lol. Life is interesting for sure cause all I ever wanted was a car and a dog and now life is complete. Oh yes that face is so innocent and SWEET!! Just adore her!! Thanks so much melbrown. She in just a few days has warmed up to me so much. Slept in bed with me the 2nd night. Loved it. Her being close and on my heating blanket she loves I think. I'm heartbroken cause I have to work tonight. Ill be so worried about her but she just lies on couch if I have to run out real quick. But this will be 8 hours and I'm nervous!!! I think she knows now ill return.
