I was born with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), it is 4 x defects of the heart, and had an operation to correct my heart, this was back in 1976.

I went to the Kruger National Park (where you can see the big 5) and had to drink malaria prevention medication. My heart went out of rhythm.

I then went through a period of anxiety/panic attacks, at the age of 23 and did not have much hope. I overcame the anxiety with the help of doctors, meds, lifestyle, prayer and a good attitude.

I've had 8 cardioversions and one ablation.

I am AFIB free for the past year since May.

I write because I want to understand and prevent AFIB, anxiety/panic attacks and know more about the heart.

I'm very grateful to live a full healthy life!

My nephew was born with TOF but sadly passed away at 9 months old. Thank you for sharing your story

Sorry to hear. I also know of parents who lost a boy at 18 months after the repair operation.

My longtime gilfriend’s son was born with TOF, had surgery and is healthy, happy, and a very active and busy teenager now! Keep the faith and be positive! Living happily is in reach and it sounds like you’re doing well! Keep up the good work and be strong! Sending healing thoughts and encouragement!! ❤️👍🏼

Hi Janco. I have A-Fib. They did one cardioversion that didn't work and so

I'm on Warfarin. As much as you have been through, I am so happy that you

are A-Fib free since May. I also have Mitral Valve Prolapse that I had done

a study on years ago. There was a correlation between Anxiety and MVP. Did

a study on 200 patients.

I'm very interested in reading your blog. Will get back to you on that.
