Headache

Has anybody had a headache that just lingers and won’t go away? The only relief I get is when I close my eyes and turn the lights off. It’s pretty brutal. I had to squint today playing basketball because the son was so hurting my head.

Sounds like a migraine. Sometimes I get relief using an ice pack in my forehead or the top of my head. I’m sorry, they are just awful.

It’s been three days of this. It will die down a little at times but keeps coming back

I agree with Mrs2theAnxious, it is probably a migraine or it could also be a cluster headache. For migraines, if you take something at the beginning it is better than letting it go. I usually take Excedrine Migraine and it will go away within a few hours. Before I knew my headaches were migraines I thought they were sinus headaches and they would last for about 3 days. It was horrible. If your headache is a migraine the key is to take something as soon as you feel it coming on. I hope you get relief soon.

Excederin and ice pack at base of neck. Don’t hesitate taking something or it gets unbearable. Rest and lots of water.

Thank you so much

I suffered from similar issues. Mine was more like a constant head pressure than a sharp headache and I was also sensitive to light and sound. My doctor initially diagnosed me with Atypical migraines. It’s hard to say what causes it or how to manage them. I would take a look at your diet and what medications you take since they can all contribute. I’ve found that drinking less alcohol and cutting out caffeine have helped with my headaches. Also things like excedrine helped a ton but my doctor warns me against those because a lot of headache meds can cause rebound headaches. Best of luck to you!

Thank you. It’s always something you know? At least I’m not having chest pains I guess.

I have the same problem. I can never get rid of them though. I've tried my doctor and she didn't help me. I used to take 4 500mg pills every 6 to 12 hours but I had to quit that. I hope u find ways to get rid of yours cause I know they suck

I am sorry. It really does suck. When I bend over I can feel the pressure in my head. Super lame

I can feel the pressure when I do that too. I hate it so much, hopefully this don't happen to you but I've had one for about a month before. My old doctor just told me it all in my head, that I'm making myself have headache and side pains.

You know what sucks is I have a feeling that this could be stress related

That could be the same reason I do. But I'm not sure. Hopefully for you it's something simple that's causing it and easy to fix.

Yeah I’m kind of hoping it just goes away

Yes. Headaches all the time. For several years. I've mostly gotten used to them. But I am still seeking ways to alleviate them. Cause? It's probably complicated.

Best wishes to you! It can be so frustrating, but hang in there. I hope you can find some relief.

I’m hoping it just goes away randomly. It could be anxiety related. I also feel super foggy and every once in a while I will get dizzy and it will go away

I hope so, too!

Hmm, I don't know what the foggy, dizzy feeling would be from. I hope neither those nor the headaches stick around too long! Sending you good wishes!

I usually get that feeling when I’m super anxious. I’m probably anxious because my head hurts and I think the worst.

Sounds like a tricky cycle...:/

There are a lot of things that can cause headaches. Other than what others have mentioned, dehydration can also cause headaches. I have noticed (and so has my daughter) that they do away when we drink water.

Tight muscles in the neck can also cause headaches. I need to massage the muscles in the neck of my neck sometimes to get some relief.

Hope you can figure it out.
