I just woke up to an alarm going off in my house and if scared the crap out of me. You think I’d just go back to sleep. No, instead I feel all hopped up. I have numbness in feet and fingers. I am worried that my heart is overworking. Why can’t I be normal and just go back to sleep. I hope this doesn’t last a while.

Anytime I wake up to an alarm, I actually wake up an hour to 5 minutes before the alarm goes off. I always feel either cold or lightheaded. And I always want to go back to sleep but never seem to be able to so I understand where you are coming from. I hope things get better for you.

when this happens to me i like to distract myself by watching a show, reading the news, or scrolling on social media feeds. it might be helpful to focus on your breathing. i hope all gets better soon!
It will be okay ! Try not to stress over not being able to go back to sleep , it tends to make it harder to sleep the next night because you expect it will happen again. I love your discription of what the alarm did to you when it went off !!! Scare the crap out of me is a great way of putting it !!! Sending you that hug again.
Believe your heart is fine, if a doctor has said that, if not have it checked.. It's probably because you are so anxious about your heart having a problem even if it doesn't. It's that unreasonable anxiety playing with your mind, I think. Hope you can tell it to go away because there is nothing wrong with my heart and you anxiety cannot tell me that there is anymore !! Tell your self every morning, I'm a great and healthy person and stronger than you anxiety.. Hard to start believing yourself but repeated enough it might just help!!
