To anyone who’s struggling in silence today,

I want you to know I’m so proud of you.

I’m proud of you for fighting monsters no one else can see, often times with a smile on your face. I’m proud of you for taking each breath, because carrying the weight of suicidal thoughts and mental illness is not an easy feat. I’m proud of you for being part of this community — proof that although we may be struggling, we still have the capacity to come together and support others who may be in pain.

If you’re struggling in silence today, we see you.

I hope you know that it’s okay.

It’s okay to feel that way from time to time.

You don’t have to burden yourself with the guilt or the shame of feeling that way.

I know feeling that way feels heavy on your heart. I know it seems it’s never going to stop. I know you think you’re alone.

You’re not.

Let’s support each other ❤️

Thanks for helping to spread the word Marialove! There's nothing more important than education and prevention. On May 31st 2018 I become a suicide survivor from a gunshot wound to the head and now suffer a severe traumatic brain injury because of it, but one of the very few lucky enough to survive. I reached out, but it was too little too late.. if my family had known the signs then they may have been able to prevent that day entirely! I am a woman on a quest to break the silence and the stigma that comes with mental illness, it's no different or any less important than a physical illness. We deserve just as much love & support in the community ❤️ Besides, if you don't have your mental health than your physical health lacks!
