Acupuncture

I started acupuncture today. The session itself was highly relaxing but afterwards I had hot flashes and anxiety again. I’m going to continue with my scheduled sessions yet I hope it only gets better. I’ve lost 3 loved ones this year and my father had a stroke just a few days ago. I’m in a lot of emotional pain. Catastrophic thoughts continue to plague me. Anyone else have experience with acupuncture? Did it help?

Hello, sorry to read of all your losses, like sure can get very ugly at times. I am glad you are looking after yourself. I had acupuncture a few weeks ago, and loved it, the hurricane stopped my next visit, I am rescheduled in 2 weeks. I had relief for about 3 days. I would also suggest you find a counselor to help you with loss and grief, invaluable. There are also groups that are wonderful you may consider joining, ask your Dr. or go on line and look for one, sometimes your local hospital sponsors one or will know of one. And of course come talk to us here, we will do our best to support you, give you love and strength. I send you Love & Hugs. Sprinkle 1......xxx

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. Maybe you can see a therapist talk about this. I also started acupuncture and after the third visit I felt my depression lifting. Try to continue with your sessions. I hope you get benefit from it.

I’m so sorry to hear that, I love that you’re seeking help for anxiety, I haven’t tried acupuncture but I’ve noticed when I do things to cure the physical parts of anxiety (tense muscles rapid breathing fast heart rate) my mind doesn’t have a lot of ground to stand on with causing a panic attack or whatever, so if it relaxes you I say keep doing it until you’re not satisfied with it anymore, I also recommend massages and even meditation have helped me tremendously and also I’m here to talk even tho I ramble on about nothing 😂
